Hey guys,

Which one is better out of these two. I want to get my partner one because he's working on his car and welding up an exhaust and a light bedding frame.
Thnks for your help!

I know nothing about welders, but would pick the Ozito one due to brand recognition, decent reviews, 3-year warranty and Bunnings being relatively easy to return/refund.

    2nd the Ozito
    Lighter , higher duty cycle

Adjustable feed rate and volt dials rather than a preset
And as Hybroid says Bunnings are good with returns

I would ask your partner which one and or if either of these would be his choice.

He may have something else in mind.

      100% this.

He is more likely to say he'd rather a much better one second hand off facebook marketplace if he's got a range of different weld types to handle. People sell good machines cheap.

A cheap machine can be exceptionally difficult to get a good weld out of.

The fact you're here asking the question will make him delighted I'm sure knowing you care enough to see his need and wanting to help.

      • Yep, its the thought that counts.

Show him this ozb post and thats the same level as buying a cheap welder as a gift.

Its a nice gesture, but i would wager most men that like to DIY have a tool preference or idea of what they want. Especially for welding.

The ozito looked good for a beginner unit as long as it was compatible with your materials. Unfortunately I wanted to do aluminium
