Worth Waiting for EOFY Mobile Deals?

I am in a market for a new mid-high end phone. Not urgent, happy to wait for the right deal. I've seen some decent deals on Android phones I like - Pixel 7a (expired dammit), A55, Poco X6 Pro, etc. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for Australian EOFY sales to see if there is a flood of better deals or is it better to buy now…

Can those with more experience of this market say, is EOFY a time with lots of sweet deals on handsets, or does it not make much difference? When do the sales tend to start, or has it started already?
