We've nearly finished a pack and they're ok, but they don't seem to cut through some harder to remove things like others do. Plus it seems to leave some stuff on cups and plates after a rinse. We're moving back to the costlier ones
The Aldi 18-in-1 always gets cups clean for me. Sometimes specks on plates and forks, but meh, just rub that off with tea towel. The housemates here have a competition between themselves; who can leave dishes in the dishwasher the longest whilst having someone else run and empty it for them. The winner is the one who forces someone else to be their unpaid domestic servant.

The Shine (Woolworths home brand) ones are the same price and work well.
I use Hudstone or Kin Kin dishwasing powder. They always seem like good value to me. No Phosphates either.
Dishwashing tablets has been a controversial topic.
Apparently, it's a hill some are prepared to die on, or at least gain 250 down votes and four mentions in the Top 10 negatively voted comments for March.
