So for a few years now a few of us here on Site have been using aliexpress for cheap tat and Tech how ever along the way in the last 3 years inflation and other factors have both impacted ali express and there their competitors/ in some cases sister companys so with that out of the way

gearbest/beast is Gone … deal extreme has been dead for years Zapals Dead ? bangood is no were near as good as it used to be and is like a chinese DSE ( no stock) Wish- should never even be mentioned …. DH gate is well lame …

Temu dos not Count … it lacks alot of the tech and looks to be Marked up in some cases …

i have noticed this to be perticuerly a problem when i was shopping for phones the other day( was looking for a Xiaomi 13 Pro) - i didnt end up settling on any but what sites out of Asia are good For cheap Tech now ?

tradingshenzhen looks to be an euro import site for phones cool but price is still up there

the above example is strictly phones looking for a general site like ali and the deal extreme of old ….

    • well as alis suppiler you do raise a good point and it seems like Some of the phones on there are decently Priced but in some cases on the Xiaomi 13 Pros i was looking at the description did not seem to match up with the Title … would you Say that parcelup.com is the best or one of the better / a good Proxy for Taobao ? or other proxys that provide good / better value ?

It'd be nice to see an export oriented (language, currency, shipping) marketplace similar to AliExpress, but based out of the tech hubs of Taiwan or South Korea.

  • Wish.com. if you dare!

I wouldn't write Temu off too easily. The merchants who actually manufacture or resell tech, that have been on Aliexpress will migrate to Temu if it makes business sense.

As Temu tries to crack the Australian market the initial focus is on very broad appeal stuff - clothes, beauty, homewares; but the tech retailers may well follow as the opportunities becomes clear. As you note, people are less interested in Aliexpress which will have been impacting sales, plus China's domestic economy hasn't been great the last few years. Temu is the new hot shit that even non-tech people over here are somewhat aware of, and that news gets back to China.

Initially tech prices won't be too cheap, they'll be testing the waters at higher prices to see if anyone bites. But it's very easy to see on Temu that merchants are eager to undercut eachother once they realise there's money to be made there. You can find products on there listed for $12, but if you click through the similar stuff it might well be listed by another merchant for $5.

  • Thank you guys for naming all the other sites I should avoid like AliExpress

    • i mean is this a moral reason ? or did someone get burned buying fake USBs ? alot of the cheap Brands that you see at your local PC store / Ebay come from ali/ taobao
