Cheapest (and Most Realistic) Flight to Tashkent, Uzbekistan?

Hi OzB community,

Thought to reach out - looking for the cheapest, most reliable and realistic (no hitchhiking etc) way to get to flight to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Me and a friend are thinking of travelling there for 10 days between 14 September – 6 October 2024. Happy to do multi-stops etc.

IWTF, Google Flights, and the lowest fare is about $1555. Accommodation is about $100, but happy to get feedback on this too if able.

If anyone can help, that'd be much appreciated!

  • Fly to China and take a train

    • Possible, but hoping for flight only. Thanks anyways.

Tashkent Airport has plenty of operators so I'd just find the cheapest that has the best connections. You could even do low cost with Batik Air via Kuala Lumpur.

Well there's a position at Ombudsman WA opening up soon…

And it's crucial that the WA Ombudsman goes to Uzbekistan (on taxpayer dollar), despite being investigated by the CCC.

Do you have any frequent flyer points? I did Sydney to Delhi on 35k Qantas points and $150 in tax, then Delhi direct to Tashkent for about $95 in August.

    • Thanks, will look into this. My friend uses Qantas points often - cheers.

    India has good connections.

Or just reverse engineer search it: find all flights from Tashkent (lovely city by the way), and then search all of those flights to Australia.

Then account for any Visa's required, etc. Good luck.

Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Bangkok have flights to Uzbekistan as well as Air Astana to Almaty through Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. I would chose the latter which ive heard is a very good airline.
