Why are you not able to take the screenshot?

    • to price promise you need the item to be in stock. They wont honour out of stock items

      • How does a screenshot showing it's in stock help? It's still out of stock, regardless of what a screenshot says.

        • yeah i want a screenshot of it at $1124 AND showing in stock. That is what i need.

So i can show Samsung i saw it at the reduced price and they will give me the $476 refund

          • @ate2much: Did Samsung tell you to get a screenshot, or did you just decide to do so? Their policy states:

            The Lower Priced Product offered must be currently in stock and available to order and pay for dispatch or collection (i.e. available to 'add to cart');

It's not in stock. That it was in stock at some point isn't the issue, it's pretty safe to assume it was.

Information required to submit a claim form
              7. A screenshot of the cheaper price. This screenshot will need to show:
              - Product model name
              - Product SKU
              - Retailer name or logo
              - Price advertised
              - URL of the cheaper price advertised
              - Stock availability

              • @ate2much: If you just need a screenshot, take a picture of the product page with the price and then overlay it with a different in stock product page but only the 'add to cart' bit.

                • @CodeXD: True. Smart. Thanks for that suggestion!

                  • -1

@ate2much: Just for awareness, lying for financial gain is generally known as "fraud" and comes with a jail term of up to 10 years. While Samsung wouldn't bother going after you, I'd try to avoid admitting to it on the internet.

              • @ate2much: They will go "great, thanks for submitting. This item was out of stock when you submitted your claim so you get squat".

                • @freefall101: Haha

Most likely. But nothing to lose, little work required, $476 to gain. Worth it?
