And 7800x3D generally better anyway since 7900 has issues with turning cores off to utilize the cache
How does one search Amazon US for the 7800X3D please?
It keeps searching AU and showing me $620.
I'll probably upgrade to the new 9000 series from my base Ryzen 7900.
So yeah HODL. Also 7950X3D is performing better than this so again, HODL.
If you're in NSW, I will buy it off you 😁
I'm in VIC unfortunately :(
@Grey 13: Let's all HODL together and see what the next 6-8 weeks bring us.
The x3d variants of 9000 series is still probably a year out from now.
Really hoping Ryzen gets its duck in a row and figures out how to deliver 8 core peformance with its 12 and 16 core 9000x3d chips. I want to stay on 12 cores for my workload but dont want to suffer vs the 8 core x3d lineup.
Intel all my life. Just did a 4090 7800x3d build last week. The AMD chips are awesome. No regrets.
For gaming, 7800x3d is better
Still too expensive. - $329USD (current US pricing) + GST should be about $560. At that price, I'd hit it, not $682.
HODL, new 9000 series coming soon!
