I got 1 year of Creative Cloud All Apps with 100GB Cloud through this deal:

The year is almost up, but just checked under billing on by Adobe account it shows under 'Your Plan' section:

Questions:

  1. Lebanese Pound is usually abbreviated LBP. Is my renewal price definitely in Lebanese Pounds? If so it converts to ~$10.42 so would be very happy to pay that for another year of access.

  2. Is there a risk of this price changing, being adjusted based on my location or something? Basically, is it safe to let it auto-pay this on June 22? Or could the price be changed at literally the last second? Of course I can keep checking even up to the day before to make sure. Just want to check if there's something that can catch me out that I may be unaware of.

Your subscription will renew automatically on 22-June-2024 (PT) and you will be charged the new subscription price annually. Your subscription will automatically renew 
annually until you cancel (price subject to change). You may cancel at any time via Adobe Account or Customer Support.

So there goes that! It was a good year!

      I am just putting the feelers out there. It may be a stupid question, but I was once told there are no stupid questions! Perhaps there's something I should know about renewing subscriptions like this I should be aware of. It's not something I'm very familiar with, I haven't taken advantage of a deal like this before! Only YouTube premium with a VPN.

    We can't really definitively tell you what's going to happen. Looking at the latter comments on that page, some people have had accounts cancelled and others have been charged $260.

    You took a gamble taking advantage of an offer not designed for you. It could go either way.

    I was just able to change my payment method to an UP card, as the card I used had expired. Just put $20 onto the card, so if they try to take more than that at any stage, they won't be able to

    Lebanese Pound is also sometimes known as the Lebanese Lira. Could just be that.

    I tired Turkey but my payment doesn't not go though if select Turkey as the country on the card details. As soon as I select Aus, it takes me back to the AU site. How did you guys get pass that?

          Just checked mine and it said the same. However got an 'Unable to process payment' notification telling me to update by the next payment. Wouldnt let me add a card, hoping Revolut comes through and processes the payment still.

      My guess is the new price. Mine said the same. Not gonna gamble it. Mostly used it for acrobat to sign. And on occasion Photoshop.
      Wonder if the acrobat Turkish iOS works.

        I’m taking the gamble, Adobe have a 14 day refund policy. If they play hard ball Mastercard can step in and recover the cost

          Pretty blurry definition of "Initial purchase". We are renewing so not sure how this applies.
          Thinking to leave enough in the card for the 10 or so dollars see if it renews with that. If it doesn't then I may or may not loose 10 bucks. I'm sure if they want more (US$419) they'll cancel it anyways

    I received the email yesterday, saying I will be charged US$420 on renewal date. Adobe account says I will be charged 623K LL (AU$10)

    Today, I had a notification of a ل.ل. transaction worth 1c on my account. Went straight to the transaction in the app and it said transaction information not available. There was then no record of the transaction in the account.

    I assume this was a test transaction (although I thought they left a record). Any ideas about the currency?

    Anyone know what the best card to get is to load it with 10 or so dollars so to change the payment to this card so if they want to charge more it just won't go through but if for some miracle it covers the cost of another year then good riddance.

      I use the disposable card from revolut quite often which is only valid for one transaction. The only problem I'm seeing here is it might send a $0.01 charge to test the card first :/

        yep, the disposable card works but they do a 1c charge and refund, so it's pointless.
        their permanent card number virtual cards get rejected by adobe.

        regardless, we are boned as they changed the price to USD.

    My account was still saying the lebanese price until yesterday, now it's the US price so time to cancel :(

    What's everyone's plan now? I use lightroom a lot, so can't decide whether to go all in on Rawtherapee or just fork out the $15 a month.

      I used to do the PS & LR $15 plan - I thought that was reasonable until this came along (claimed on Tax anyway). Acrobat was really about the only other app I was using. So yep undecided as well. Just bought that Affinity 50% deal, so I'm going to install and see how that goes as an alternative.

    FYI I went to Adobe's live chat and asked them for a better price before cancelling the subscription - they came back with 191.88USD for the year = $16USD/month.
    Not as good as the original deal of course but still much better than the $419.88/year!

      Their website says A$21.99/mo incl. GST for teachers/students, or yearly $263.87.

      Edit When trying to sign up for $263.87, it says the plan is not available in my location - Lebanon.

        Yeah just cancelled mine. Previously it has still said the Lebanese amount of money on the adobe website so I thought maybe wait and see if it auto renews at that same cheap price but now it has been updated to mention the US pricing only so party is over

      Don't start up any of their softwares and hop on to their chat as soon as you can and just claim you forgot/missed the emails about auto-renewal. Pretty sure they can refund it.

      Same. Not enough money in that account luckily. Cancelled a month or so ago and got confirmation it was cancelled. Do think I removed the payment method though. Now cannot see payment method on there to be sure. Think because suspended account.
      Might uninstall everything Adobe related on computer to be sure.

    While like everyone else i had no luck in getting out of paying $420 USD for next billing cycle, I did however have some luck in getting 2 months credited for free.

    Method
    1. Use a VPN and connect to either Lebanon or nearest country available to region.
    2. Log onto your account and open up chat support
    3. Talk in broken English and explain the situation
    4. Ask for extension or extra time on your acc because the payment amount from LL to USD is insanely increased
    5. Hope you have a nice support person and they comp you a few months
    6. Done

    Side note
    My support person said it was possible to sign up new customers under the old price structure, sooooo might be worth asking if this is possible and get them to assist you with that but make sure you confirm price and currency beforehand. I woould make sure its LL and how much it costs.

      Luckily didn't have enough in that account. Cancelled a month ago. Now also deleted my Adobe account so should be pretty safe not being charged.

    I completely forgot and got charged $419 US 1 week ago and they were able to refund me no issues over chat. I was offered 3 months free then $29.99/month (declined it).

    The good news is I no longer use Premier and AFX for Video Editing. Have switched to Davinci Resolve. Not perfect but much better GTD. Photoshop I will miss but trialling Affinity suite which is a one off payment. That only leaves Adobe Audition to replace. Can do basic audio editing in Fairlight and Audacity is ok. What a joke Adobe has become. From an inspirational design company in the early 2000s to a corrupt corporate criminal organisation in 2013. I will never pay $20+ a month for their software.
