Looks like great price for mid-tier full auto machine. Camel's lowest. Thoughts?
My Philips 2200 just blew all the remaining gaskets and died.

  • Are they clearing these out for the Rivelia?

the plus version is also on sale apparently. lowest price as per camel site - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07GGZBRZX

    • Did you check what is different in ECAM370.95.T? I'm too lazy lol

I bought the plus version around 3 or 4 years ago. I think the decision for the plus was purely based on more/other recipes. Otherwise they are pretty much identical.
Overall still going strong, low maintenance, decent coffee.

There is also a Mothers Day Promotion on Delonghi coffee machines https://www.delonghi.com/en-au/promotions

  • I had this model (but in Black) - I've commented on a Dinamica Plus deal in the link below, in regards to this version. I'd not buy this version again, especially experiencing the hotter coffee temps in the Plus model, but YMMV as some others had commented the plus didnt get hot either. My plus was much hotter than my older one

At the end of the day, these auto machines (so pressurised basket) produce 'meh' coffee on their best days.

The milk is simply infused with air (using steam as the venturi). So they will never be hot, or proper foam.

So I have a manual machine for 'proper coffee', and a basic auto for quick coffee. Uses a steam wand for milk…which sounds simple…but it's by FAR the best (as it is hot and properly textured). Basic machine such as the Magnifica.

I have a Jura full auto…probably the best textured auto milk dispenser system you can get…but physics dictates it's still rubbish. But you can put a wand on it.

Save your money, buy an entry level Magnifica, or if you want a decent coffee, get one of the Breville manual machines.

P.S. steam your milk first, then the thermoblock will keep temp better when extracting coffee. Easier to cool down consistantly, that heat up.

Why you putting so much emphasis on milk when your talking about coffee? Can you even taste the coffee you add to the milk?

      • If you try a coffee with milk you will answer your question.

      • The only reason to buy this machine is for milk drinks..and ironically..it will do them badly.

The actual coffee making part is the same for all Delonghi autos, so if you aren't interested in the various forms of cold milk froth, then buy the cheapest entry level machine…It will make black coffee exactly the same as the highest end machine.

        • You reveal your ignorance. Making a perfect shot of espresso is so much more important then heating some milk. They have special courses for just this one task. So dont make it sound like black coffee is the same regardless the machine it gets made on. Maybe you should just stick to commenting on vaguely flavoured milk shakes and leave the coffee to people who actually like coffee.

          • @Stivo: Don't know if you are talking about my comment?
But yes, all "DeLonghi auto's" internally are the same, and they are all pressurised basket puck machines. So again, if you just want black "auto" coffee… buy the cheapest machine you can find …no reason to pay extra for this.
Not a touch on a good manual machine…but there is no such thing as a cafe grade auto.

    • I agree with this.

Thought about getting a machine with the in-built milk dispenser, but much prefer to steam my own milk to get the right texture and heat.

Settled on the Magnifica S, based on previous comments you've made tunzafun001 in previous threads on other Delonghi deals where you've mentioned that the internals are pretty much the same between the different models.

Very happy with it so far.
