also seeing $20 off sign up pop up on binglee.

this is usually around $159 @ Amazon seen it drop a few times to $128ish during covid so not a huge discount but I think it’s a solid wireless headset for the price.

these are the RZ04-044XXXXX which are the 2022 model with 50 hours battery and supports Razer App via Bluetooth to customise EQ etc.

these https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/razer-barracuda-x are the 2021 RZ04-038XXXXX models that only have 20 hour battery and no Bluetooth or app support. currently saw them for $84 at Wireless 1.

I have these 2022 ones works on PC/PS4/PS5 according to the manual but I can’t see how they wouldn’t work with Xbox too? (USB-c dongle)

they are a solid headset for a decent price they arent the best you can get but they do everything right are reliable and also only $128.
2.4Ghz with USB-c dongle means no latency issues when gaming and the Bluetooth connection allows App customization and taking phone calls (you can set this to Do not disturb so calls don’t disturb your gaming).
I read somewhere the dongle even works with iPad if it’s a newer one and has a USB-c port.

pretty much I agree with this review by soundguys.
TLDR is at the bottom of the review.

  • I have the prior version of this and I still use it! It’s comfy, sounds good and inexpensive. Definitely get a standalone mic though but output is fantastic for me.

    • I have this 2022 version and agree.

had it for a long time now and it gets everything right imo. for the average user this is all you need.
I have heard people crapping on razer a lot maybe a year ago but they have been reliable and just work.

  • Good headset worth it for the money

Those are the older version without bluetooth

For some reason razer likes upgrading the features of their headsets without changing the names and you have to play russian roulette between that and the inaccurate listing descriptions, hoping they put the right MPN and feature list on it.

They could have just slapped a v2 on there like with the blacksharks
Although, I think theres also an unlabelled upgrade to the blackshark v2 pro, so i guess this is just how they like doing business. Weird.

I included (2022 version) in the title but looks like mods changed it.
2022 version has more than double the battery life, Bluetooth on top of the 2.4Ghz USB-C dongle and App where you have custom EQ - old one you are stuck with the sound which isn’t that bad but custom EQ is awesome.

usually the difference in title will be Razer Barracuda X Wireless and Razer Barracuda X Wireless (2022).
difference should really be (2021) and (2022) but stores don’t title it like that.

you can also check the battery life which is 20 hours for the old one vs 50 hours will be the 2022 version.

I included model number info in the deal.
found the 2021 one currently for $84, so $70 seems like just an ok deal tbh.

Seems like you cannot use this with Xbox consoles [1] as per the review by rtings.

    • thanks my bad should have checked Rtings I just didn’t think of it when posting.

I guess Xbox has a special way of doing audio? Compared to PC and PS4/PS5 I always see headsets that support PC and PS together.
