Does anyone know if Air Asia X still flies from OOL to KUL? I tried searching their website for flights but it just comes up with flights from a lot of different airlines now and the google results seem old.

There’s an option to tick Air Asia only flights on the search fields.

It seems their outgoing flight is mostly codeshares from OOL to SYD then AirAsia X onwards to KUL, depending on the day. It’s all under the same AirAsia ticket. Check your required dates.
yes
They finish up in 4 days. No more flights from OOL to KUL from May 1st.
What are you on about? I cant see they are.
I read something about direct flights ceasing but you can still go via SYD or MEL.
You can see they've marked the route "Ends in April"

Does anyone no why this is happening? Scoot now Air Asia!! I don't understand cos everyflight on Scoot or Air Asia was always full.
Technically it’s still running, just very reduced:
Service for Gold Coast in 2024 will see suspension during following periods (KUL departure): 29FEB24 – 28MAR24, 22APR24 – 20JUN24, 15JUL24 – 30NOV24.
Gold Coast has already lost scoot to BNE, believe GC airport is pricing itself out of these routes with high landing fees.
Tiger also never came back after covid. The only direct international flight left that's any good is Virgin direct to DPS. Can get return flights for $460 on sale. It would be great if OOL got more international LCCs and dIrect flights to cities like Bangkok and Manila.
Tiger never came back.
As soon as the pandemic started, Virgin 1.0 canned Tiger Airways.
Yes Tiger never came back after covid.
I always thought OOL had pretty low landing fees. It's one of the best value destinations for Virgin from MEL. Usually a lot cheaper than BNE.
My last two domestic holidays have been to Byron simply because it's such a cheap flight to OOL.
Maybe airport fees increased when the new international terminal opened?
Scoot from BNE?
Are you sure about that?OOL Lost Narita slots to Brisbane too. Makes no sense from JPN side, nobody wants to use their 5 days off a year to go to Brisbane over Goldy.
