MSI might not always have the best build quality but I still thought this was a decent price for the specs. I'd get it myself but I have no need to replace my laptop just yet.

  yeah, not the best you can get for the price, but if you need something now with that kinda spec, its not a bad price, but if you can wait, then you are bound to see better deals toward end of financial year sales starting in the next month. i.e. if you can wait up to 60 days, i am willing to say there will be better deals coming.

    Would you say EOFY or Black Friday be more likely to get the best deals for a <$1500 entry level performance laptop? I know when before Black Friday became a thing is Australia, the main sales event was EOFY and Boxing Day. It feels that BF is the only time of year when you can get really good deals now.

  But $1500 only can get you a 4050 gpu, you still can call this a 'good' deal? Plus its a low end build quality MSI
