Same price on Amazon at the moment: https://www.amazon.com.au/eufy-Integrated-Recognition-Expand…

Price beat at Bunnings would be $1329.05.

And a refurbished, grade C set is back at Eufy for $999.98: https://myeufy.com.au/refurbished-eufycam-3-s330-4-pack-with…. See the recent post with that deal for opinions: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/840347

    • @Pizzaguy would be $1260 for the price beat

      • True, I thought it is 5%, but it's 10%. Wow.

  • I'd buy the refurbished. It is as good as new.

    • Well no, they aren't because they are refurbished so they come with scratches and all sorts of wear. You just have to be fine with that.

      • +1

Have you purchased any? I got the C grade ones, basically brand new! Not a single mark on any of it. I nearly didn't buy them as they rate them as C grade, without box etc. I guess so people don't moan. I'm sure some will be bad, but you can return them if that is the case.

For me, they arrived as new, in retail box.

        • Second this! Maybe one has slight discolouration but you'd be hard pressed to notice it

        • Sure have. Mine were also rated 'C grade' and came in a retail box with brand new installation mounts etc but the cameras themselves were:
          1. Discoloured from previous exposure to the elements; and
          2. All had scratches on the front faces except one. I've not returned them as they weren't on the camera lens at least

You must have struck it lucky.

            @coby:

            Sure have
come with scratches and all sorts of wear

You claimed they all come with scratches and all sorts of wear. Then said yours had being a bit discoloured and a few scratches on the front that hasn't impacted usage. This would be very acceptable for a 'C Grade' refreb. Most companies would pass that off as B or even A grade.

So I myself wouldn't class that as terrible for the money you saved. The kit linked here is normally around $1700 when not on sale, and it is $1000 as a refreb. So a $700 saving on a product that is going to discolour over time anyhow and from what I can tell, the black plastic on the front does scratch really easily.

Mine came in better condition than yours it sounds. Not discoloured, If I had to be mega picky, there might have been a tiny mark on the front of one of them, but nothing on the lens and nothing noticeable once installed.

Other than that mark, everything else appeared brand new and I was happy with the $700 saving.

You also get a 12 month warranty, the same as buying brand new.

But clearly YMMV when buying these refreb units.

@JimmyF: The point is that a refurb is a refurb, you can't expect it to be 'as good as new', but if it comes that way then hey you lucked out.

I'm not looking at returning mine simply because they have scratches across the face as they don't impact the function, that's exactly why I'm not returning them. I paid for C grade after all.

But yes, I'd rather pocket the savings any day.

      • Not sure if you have seen it yourself ever. I wouldn't pay hundreds more to have a slightly better cosmetic appearance.

    • Where can i get the refurbished ones?

    • I did it and regret it. Their support team can't access sales data and they don't communicate with each other.

I had a camera fail dead on delivery and it's been 3 months with no resolution in sight.

I did it and regret it. Their support team can't access sales data and they don't communicate with each other.

They email you a invoice, provide that when you put a warranty claim in. Not sure why the teams need to 'talk' to each other.

I had a camera fail dead on delivery and it's been 3 months with no resolution in sight.

Who are you talking to? The warranty people or the sales people?

        • I went to their live chat tech support which sent me an email to email with my invoice (bought from Eufy directly).

That email never got back to me so I went to call them. Their technical team on the phone couldn't resolve it so told me they would need me to email a different email (with the invoice again). I emailed them and that tech team said they can't access any of the info in my prior attempts to contact them so I had to start the process all over again. I was then told that someone from their senior support team would reach out (who won't have access to my invoice either). It's been a month since that last step now.

Not sure how you thought I was talking to the sales people. All these people are the tech people they just don't have access to any prior contact attempts not even your invoice if you purchased it directly from them.

@Jamesrulez1: Thanks for neg vote James…I and everyone else got a emailed invoice when the other was placed. All your issues sound like a user error. So enjoy that.

            • -2

@JimmyF: Has nothing to do with being emailed an invoice. I'm not sure what your issue is. My issue is that i had to send the invoice multiple times and was told when I'm contacted again by them i'll need to send it again because it's a different team.

The E330 4K Eufy camera add-on (wired) is at a good price, $199 ($100 off) at JB:

Full pack of 4 with the homebase is only $1049, much cheaper and better than these junk cameras. Save yourself the trouble, unless you absolutely have to have a fully wireless camera, stay far away from these and get the E330 wired ones. Wireless means you're going to miss a lot of stuff and everything will be slower to view. If you care about quality, then you're better off going with Reolink. Eufy cameras are very low bitrate compared to Reolink cameras that show far more detail.

      • I'm going wired for this reason, yep.

      • Which Reolink system would you suggest. I am in google nest cam at the moment from the previous OW deal but have always wanted to move on to a good wired system which possibly I am able to install myself

      • I agree. I have the 4pack s330 - and I find them less than useful. I plan to add a bunch of wired ones on the road side.

The Refurbished ones of Eufy site seem great deal.
Does anyone know if they actually send a Homebase 2 with it cuz the photo shows homebase 1 which sucks.

    • What is shown is homebase 2, homebase 1 is different. Latest is homebase 3.

    • i recently got 2C Pro twin pack for $225 with homebase 2. The one in this like seems bit expensive for kinda similar specs though. Both are 2K resolution but 2C Pro has a spotlight although it has a smaller battery. I have installed it with $20 solar panel from ebay and battery stays at 100% all the time.

    • That's not only refurbished, but a different product altogether.

  • +1

On April 2, 2024, I purchased a set of refurbished Eufy Cam 3c 4 Pack with Home Base 3 (Grade C) directly from the Eufy website. As a refurbished product, I expected some physical blemishes, which were clearly stated in the product description, and I have no complaints about that aspect.
However, upon activation, I discovered that one of the cameras was not working. I immediately raised this issue with Eufy's customer support on April 9, 2024. To my disappointment, their initial response was to provide irrelevant troubleshooting steps that did not address the problem at hand.
When I clarified that their suggested steps were not the issue, they replied with a message stating, "I'll escalate your ticket to our Senior Tech Team to further assist you. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated." Since then, despite sending reminders, I have not received any further response or resolution to my problem.
It is frustrating to invest in a product, even a refurbished one at a whopping $750, only to find that it does not function as intended. Moreover, the lack of proper customer support and timely resolution from Eufy has been incredibly disappointing. As a customer, I expect a company to stand behind their products and provide adequate support when issues arise.
Recently, I also noticed that one of the cameras is not holding enough charge and only lasts for one week. Basically, these so-called refurbished products are rubbish at a hefty price. It seems that they are not actually refurbished but are instead complaint pieces returned to Eufy and resold to others without any repairs. I feel ripped off and cheated.
In conclusion, my experience with Eufy's refurbished Cam 3c 4 Pack has been utterly disappointing. The non-functioning camera, poor battery life, and lack of proper customer support have left me feeling cheated and ripped off. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious when considering Eufy's refurbished products, as they may not be genuinely refurbished and could lead to a frustrating and costly experience.

    • I'm literally going through the same issue right now. At this point I might just chargeback because it's almost reached the limit before I can.
