The Creator 4K Ultra HD [Blu-ray] [Region Free] The 4K disc is region Free and as this seems to be the UK version so the included Blu-ray should also play on Australian Blu-ray players. I find deliveries from Amazon coming from the UK usually take less than 2 weeks.

Yes, this is a good deal as The Creator has had NO official Australian release.
Yes, people still collect and watch movies on physical discs.

The Creator, Amid a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua, a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war-and mankind itself.

The Steelbook is also on sale for $54.31 https://amzn.asia/d/agPUuxI

This movie felt like it was made by someone who has no idea what AI actually is but had a lot of money given to them to make a movie about it. Every minute I spent on it was a waste of time but I was overseas and it was the only thing downloaded on my iPad. Purchase and watch at your own discretion, I guess.

Yeah, not the best movie, IMHO. $14.99 maybe but not for this price.

      • +2

        $1.99 maybe, not $14.99.

        • I was trying my best to be polite :-)

Your comment deserves more than just my upvote. This movie is an utter squandering of both time and money

    • +1

I could have forgiven the dumb script if the movie made any sense at all. Like, nothing in the film made sense.

  • -2

    It’s on Disney +

  • -1

Yeah I couldn't finish the movie

I have no idea what all those critics were watching, but I was literally laughing at how bad it was after 15 minutes.

Movie was mediocre but one good thing about it was the CG. Was one of the first times i can recall CG looking really good and lifelike, the machines all looked dirty and used and fit into the backgrounds, for example. So it was nice to see a movie where the CG doesnt stand out like a sore thumb like the new Jurassic whatever movies or whatever marvel is releasing on any given day.

Mediocre is generous. It was flat out terrible.

  • How is this a deal?

    • +1

We've been seeing a few 4K Blu Rays posted as deals for $35-45+ I have no idea why.

      • +3

Because so few good films are being released in Australia now, so the only option for collectors is to buy for $60-80 or wait for a better price.

4K isn't really for casual movie watchers anymore, which is a bit of a bummer.

        @dirkmirk
DIsney and Therefore 20th Century Fox no longer supply discs to the Australian market, they prefer to get everyone subscribed to multiple streaming services, like Disney+ Paramount +, Netflix.

So those of us who enjoy the superior experience of physical media are now paying a premium when they are released in the US or UK market only.
Titles typically start at $55 AUD or more when released and possibly you are paying for postage on top. So, when a title like this drops in price, I like to share that for fellow physical media collectors., for instance searching for this title in google , you will find the average price it $60 plus.

Anyway, I hope you now have an idea as to why.

    • its a deal…well a bad deal

  • I have $45. 3 months of disney plus including this in 4k… or this forever in better 4k. … .hmm

  • I wonder why Bluray 4k is significantly more expensive than regular Bluray.

    • 4k tax and I guess the discs cost more

Was going to explain to the knobs above why people still buy physical but then saw a note saying this was an affiliate link so revoked my vote as well.

    • I actually don't know why it's an affiant link. I am NOT in any affiliate program that I am aware of.

  • Shite of a 🎦. Had to turn it πŸ“΄ after awhile. 😩

IMDB 6.8 is fairly adequate. Waste of time, not worth even $1.

  • +3

I'm sure it will look really good but it wasn't a very good movie.

Literally watched this last night on Disney+. If you like forgettable garbage movies that make you want to gargle drain cleaner and stick forks in your eyes, great deal.
