Don't be fooled, the "mild" tag is just mild compared to normal korean noodle that are extremely spicy, if you can't handle spice, you can't handle this either.

    • Agreed. Admittedly, I'm a softy with spice and normally order mild and occasionally medium curries. These are right on my limit spice wise and no way would I consider them "mild" to my pathetic palate. Are tasty with a boiled egg, a few dumplings and some green veg chucked in though!

    • I buy the red ones and actually don't find them to be super spicy. Like they're hot but not super hot. Interesting that these are still spicy.

I bought the Han Kitchen Flaming Chicken Noodles from Woolies to try and those were SUPER spicy, they taste really good, but I couldn't finish them cause my mouth was just fire, also your guts will hate you later on.

local korean mart(NSW) sells for 4.99

    20 for $20 at Costco.

  • Thanks op. Had these before and they just taste the same as the Nong Shim Shin Ramyun 5 Pack which is usually on sale at Coles/Woolworths for $5. Wasn’t worth the extra $0.95 😃

    • Are you sure you didn't have the spicy version? This is mild version so the Shin Ramyun should be much spicier than this.

I don't see how you came to that conclusion considering how different the two taste

      • Mild or hot taste the same to me 😃…I meant the quality of the noodles is the same.

    • If you can't tell the difference, it sounds like your taste buds have been completely destroyed from eating spicy foods

      • I guess I kinda don’t really pay attention to instant noodles it’s just a quick 2 minute meal 😅…I save my taste buds for gourmet food.

@ChillBro: Thanks, my verdict was it wasn’t worth the extra $0.95 for this brand cos it was pretty similar to the Nong Shim ones usually on special for $5. 👍

@ne-us: Shin Ramyun made for the export market tastes like rubbish. So I would have to wholeheartedly disagree with your comment.
Gourmet food or not, if you can't taste the difference between these two instant noodles, you won't be able to taste anything LOL

              • @keejoonc: No worries, everyone has their own opinions. 👍

For those who haven’t tried it, you could buy one pack to try like I did.

      • Are you saying these are better than Nong Shim Shin Ramyun?

        • +2

Tasing with my tongue, these are far better. YTTMV - your tongue taste may vary.

        • I generally prefer Ottogi, but both are great. My personal favourite is the Ottogi Jin Spicy Seafood.

Coles also has the spicy version for same price.

  • Out of stock for a regional address, but available to a metro address. With Prime. This is the third time I have struck this on Amazon.

  • If you live near the city, take a look inside your local asian store. Mine has 2 for 10 dollars.
