as in age pension or super / pension?
You wanna go to one which rebates back any commissions they might get, back to you. For example, if they recommend any type of insurance they will get some sort of commission, but some firms will rebate the commission they get back to you so it will be savings to you. If a firm does this, they'll have no reason to recommend you random products (insurance or whatever it might be) as like I said it's not like they will getting any commissions.
Can recommend Hughes Forbes on Albert Road, South Melbourne for exactly that thing. They rebated back commissions on my insurance policy and term deposits they recommended so it was a saving to me. On the plus side they also have accountants which is nice to have all under the one roof.
But definitely call around and try to go to one which rebates commissions they get back to the client.
commissions on investments and super have been banned for over 10 years now.
