It shows ultrafine in the device manager. I had one before.
Without USBC how is this best?
I am looking for Home office setup but 27” is too small right?
Dual 4K 144hz + 60hz over a thunderbolt 4 dock.
You also get potential for one cable solution to switch between work laptop & home PC.
That seems an expensive approach.
Especially when the displays are around the price of a decent thunderbolt dock.
A pity connections are only Display port and hdmi.
I think I would look for a display with at least USBc port with min 60W charging myself.
Yep just get a dell with inbuilt kvm and daisy-chain. Less cables and kvm can just work with a keystroke.
this is the cheapest solution for dual 4K 144hz + 60hz…
32” is the sweet spot for having 2 applications side-by-side for productivity. 27” is far too small nowadays.
I had this monitor. The panel quality was solid, no dead pixels. The color is natural and accurate. It is a very good choice for home and office users. I think LG panel quality is better than Samsung. I purchased a few Samsung monitors but some of them had dead or stuck pixels.
Samsung displays seem to have a lot of problems. Weird when it’s TVs are considered some of the best (despite no Dolby vision).
Yes. very wired. I purchased a 2nd gen ARK monitor which cost $3000 after the discount. It came with 3 stuck pixels. Then 2 stuck pixels after replacing a brand new panel. Finally, they refunded the money. I purchased an old G7 in the past and I found one stuck pixels. But G9 panel is pretty good. I purchased 2 G9 and both panels were perfect. I think the quality is not as good as LG. My friends never complain about pixel issues on LG panels.
So looks like $315.95 on Amazon at the moment with free shipping. So might work out cheaper for some.
Good monitor. Just feel 400 nuts is not bright enough for me..
I am still waiting for my dell monitor and unable to play right now. Is this good for OK gaming for few days?
Edit: Nvm, just received email that monitor is for delivery tomorrow. Back to grinding.
No free delivery to 3690 from any of the suppliers. Cheapest delivery is $15.95.
is this decent as a second monitor? i'll be using the LG 31.5" GP850 for gaming, but looking to pair it with a second monitor on the side…i don't need the refresh rate, but the 4K UHD display might be decent for content viewing…
Do you use monitor arms? I found 2x27 is about the max you can fit to ensure a good viewing angle.
I use this as a second monitor..
yes, i've got a dual-arm.
it'll be an un-even layout to pair with the 31.5" LG screen, but it'll be fine, unless i can find a second one that's about the same size.
Using 2x31.5" (or 31.5 +27 combo) will probably give you a very flat viewing angle which can be uncomfortable as you will most likely face directly to the edge gap between the two screens.
In a dual monitor setup, you probably prefer a main screen in front of you with a second monitor at a certain angle to the side.
I replaced my 2x31.5 setup with 2x27, which I find much better. Alternatively, you can set your second monitor vertically if your main screen size is 31.5".
@tc423: the arms are fairly mobile — meaning i can push it forward & back & adjust the angle as well. it won't be a perfect curve, but as long as it's somewhat front-on when i turn my head to it, i'll be OK. my question is really more for the quality of the display. this'll be my first HDR screen, let alone 4K.
@MorningThief: It's a decent screen, better than the 27UP550N-W (w/ type C charging).
I'm using it with a 27GP950-B worth the money.
Don’t think this is the Ultrafine…
