Matching Harris Farms in case they sell out
This brand is good
I find the organic one quite watery. The standard barista one is good though.
i always avoid all the coffee shops with minor figure oat milk, as i find it to be the worst tasting oat milk for coffee. Also tastes watery and slightly sour (not cofffee acidic related)
Yeah, it’s not my favourite. The alternative dairy co one is my favourite. A lot of cafes use them too.
Yeah alternative dairy co is the best. You won't find it for $2.24/L though. Maybe double that if you're lucky
@Jayblesz: sorry, not a fan of either - my picks
@tonester: No need to be sorry lad. The world is full of opinions. I like Vitasoy, I don’t like MilkLab personally.
I’ve had Califia once only. I don’t remember it very well as it was a little while ago but it can’t have been bad otherwise I would’ve remembered that. I’ll try it again.
@Jayblesz: A cafe local to me sells Alt for $3.20/L (by the carton).
@wetookthesquirrel: Sadly, that’s a decent price for alt, cheapest I’ve ever gotten it was $36 for 12 (free delivery) some time ago. The same place is now charging $39 which seems to be standard.
@kiriakoz: where do you get a 12 pack from?
@Nads2407: You can get them online, Kogan sells them, but to see who is doing it for the best price, I use the shopping tab on Google search.
Through them, I just found it on munchees ($36 for 12 + $4.40 delivery) & marketsupplies ($38.95 + free delivery).
I find a 12 pack is each to get through despite only really using the oat milk for my morning coffee as expiry is usually a year, and I keep it well stored.
I don't know the above websites very well, so please do your due diligence, just using as examples.
@Jayblesz: Yep had many including minor figures, but alternative co is above all. hard to find as not many shops carry stock, best way to get it if one has access to catering/business account.
Oat milk has been getting a bad wrap
I was using oat milk daily until realising its nutritional value
do people actually rely on their barista coffee milk to meet their nutritional needs?
it's fairly mediocre taste wise, I got a couple of cartons when they were a dollar each
watery like mentioned aboveI really like the Barista Oat milk in the yellow and black cartons for $2.99
Wish Amazon has OMG Barista Oat Milk.. Other brands use seed oil, only OMG uses olive oil I think
Yes OMG is the only one to use olive oil - but I thought it was terrible with coffee - olive taste really comes through. Though might be good to cook with. Vitasoy uses sunflower oil. Most others use canola (or it's obfuscated original name rapeseed) with extraction via hexane - unless it's organic like this product whereby extraction is via impeller.
Thanks will give it a try. Is it implied that it's extracted via impeller cuz it's labelled as organic?
How do they milk the oats?
Dad?
Do you write your own material?
This milk is pretty eh, wouldn't buy it again after the previous deal.
Depends what you're after it for, but I've never been a fan of Minor Figures for coffee - there's a flavour profile that cuts through and overpowers the coffee itself. Prefer Alternative Dairy Co for barista needs - far more neutral, balanced flavour.
I like this on my cereal but never in my coffee. It has a nice nutty flavour. (I prefer the light version)
just got my 1 bottle to try
can confirm it seems watered down compared to barista brand that I tried before
Miss the Minor Figures Latte sales on Amazon, so delicious!
