Active Ingredient: Each caplet contains Ibuprofen 200mg

Postage: $4.95, or free for orders over $49. However, if you are happy using the referral link below you can get a $5 credit which effectively makes postage free. It also doesn't seem hard to achieve free postage, for example just adding a couple of items achieves this.

I realise we're not meant to use referral links, so the main deal link is a direct link. However, when I was placing my own order, I could not find any promo codes or people to get referred by, so if you'd like to get referred, my link is below - I hope this referral link helps save someone some $:

    Should combine your posts.

Anyone else get the feeling this might be the new vitacost with regards to referral spamming?

    • Thanks for the suggestion, will do. Mods, could you please delete this post and I'll merge with the other one? Thanks!

If its not an Australian shop , will be seized by customs

Only 90 days supply allowed for medications

    • I've ordered from them before, wasn't aware of this limit and ordered way more than a 90 day supply. 8 x 200 pills, no issues. Might have just been lucky.

    • IBUPROFEN is not an "unapproved therapeutic good"

I was labouring under the misapprehension that this was an Aussie shop…

Customs won't care about a couple of labelled pill bottles coming through. They might get a bit suspicious though if you're ordering 100+ and they are all in 1 big box. They basically don't care at all unless it's a very large shipment (large enough for them to believe that you might be reselling it) or if the goods are on the customs prohibited imports/exports list (not all controlled substances are on that list btw so customs will actually allow some illegal substances through).

I regularly import a scheduled substance (S4) in bulk powder form, sometimes ordering up to 5kg in weight when the maximum recommended daily dosages are <4g and I have never once had an issue. (5000g ÷ 4g = 1,250+ days supply which is well and truly over 90 days supply). They've opened it up a few times just to inspect but they usually do that at random anyway so not a big deal - Nothing has ever been seized.

My dealer just died from kidney failure

Are you in a position to take his market?

  • You should combine these posts rather then spamming them all in a row.

    • +3

Good idea to merge them. I'm not sure that 2 posts is spamming - was just trying to help contribute back to the community I draw on. Mods, could you please delete this post and I'll merge with the other one? Thanks!

      • Not spam, just against posting guidelines.

What on earth do you need 500 of nurofen equivalent for ??? Talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist first if you do take them on a regular bases , no matter how safe they are , you shouldn't treat them like lollies !! BTW , wonder if they have approval from TGA to sell this quantity in Australia . I bet someone will report this to TGA soon !!

  • What on earth would one need 500 ibuprofen tablets?

Chemist warehouse sells a 50-pack of Rafen for $2.39, everyday price. So it will be $23.90 for 500 tablets.

Also, why the hell would anybody need 500 ibuprofen tablets?!

    • for those that have used this, is 1 tablet Rafen = 1 tablet Nurofen?

I take this mainly during the sports seasons when my physical activity means I have less time to recover…

  • Interesting post given recent media warnings about the addictive qualities of this and similar products.

Addictive qualities of NSAIDs? Could I please trouble you for a link.

AFAIK they're non-narcotic, so they shouldn't be addictive per se; overuse, OTOH is fairly common…is that what you meant by 'addictive'?

      • Recently reported on ABC; hope this helps: "Some doctors say some patients have had to turn to methadone to wean off Nurofen Plus." http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-11-07/public-health-crisis-l…

        • +1

I do know that codeine is addictive (obviously if you take enough, over long enough time) - this is in the cold/flu version of nurofen…I think. or plus. can't remember…

but no i haven't looked for research to back it up. as I'm sensible enough to not eat this 'a lot' anyway

        • +1

Yep, it seems that the codeine is the drawcard there:

Pharmacists and doctors have told the ABC's 7.30 program, consumers are getting hooked on the codeine, but the real danger is the ibuprofen which, in large doses, is toxic and can cause internal bleeding.

These are straight ibuprofen & don't contain any codeine, which is the addictive component in the link.

I find this thread pretty addictive, but then it does have codeine in it…
