Toolpro-X Socket Set 3/8" Metric/SAE 42pce $118.99 (& Targeted $25 Credit for Every $100 Spend) + Del ($0 C&C/ $130 Order) @ SCA

80

I got an email from SCA, not sure if it's targeted:

Hi rosey,

Here's an offer just for you!

Activate this offer and get $25 credit for every $100 spent on Toolpro X!
Be quick, this offer won't last forever.

Offer expires 11:59pm AEST 21st April 2024.

You have to ckick "ACTIVATE OFFER" in the email

I have a lot of socket sets; including Sidchrome, Kincrome, Stanley, ToolPro, Bahco, Tekton, Gearwrench etc, and I always go for this one when I service my car. X is significantly better than regular ToolPro; I would put it on par with Kincrome Lok-On sets with the 6-point slip resistant sockets.

If you were targeted and get $25 back, the set becomes under 100 bucks which is an absolute bargain for great all-rounder socket set with lifetime warranty.

  • What would someone need for just your standard around the house type socket set….3/8 or 1/4…..i own a screwdriver…thats the level of my tool knowledge

    • 1/4" and 3/8"

    • A tool set with multiple sizes might work a bit better with the variety if it's just "in case of need", otherwise both can be handy depending on use case.

1/4 will be the quite small fasteners like in a car interior, 3/8 take a bit more torque and pretty common.

    • I'd start with a set of 3/8 which should cover most automotive work and around the house.
You can then pick up a decent 1/4 once you know what you like and may be an electric screwdriver for flatpack assembly.
Buy one good/decent set (I like Bahco for their 6-point) rather then multiple cheap sets.
Examples: 3/8 and 1/4 (not cheapest prices, shop around or wait for sales).

    • get the one i linked, and this 1/4" set with regular and deep sockets: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-x-toolpro-x-sock…

Just over $200 spend, get $50 credit to buy non-X pliers, spanners, wrenches etc

  • not sure if it's targeted

Looks to be targeted, I didn’t receive it. Only an email saying they fit wipers and bulbs etc.

  • I think the credit deal is available for everyone, the email, might be tailored though. My email just talked about the $25 credit, didn't make any purchasing suggestions

  • Single hex sockets have there place, but not for general service work. Would not be my go to set
