Motorola Fans Face Cost of Living Pressure as a Popular Model Faces a Price Hike

Practicing creating news.com.au headlines.

Unfortunately, the great value Motorola G84 has gone up in price from RRP$399 to $449, so it will be more difficult to reach prices as amazing as $279. Very weird seeing a company increase the price of a model 5 months after releasing it.

The phone is in high demand, they reached their target of 20 sales for the year.

It's cheap, and it still has sd card, one of the few left now.

  • It was released at £249.99 in the UK, which is currently $480. I wonder if they took a haircut to stay competitive in this market but it turned out to sell well here.

    • likely. Maybe the whole point of the G54 and G84 being so cheap but with so much value was to increase market share of Motorola phones.

I used to have 2 Motorola phones previously. Motorola is not good in term of software update and slow charging. But I like its gestures.

For $449, better choose different brand. Now I use OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite with similar price (bought online, sent from Melbourne). Faster software updates and much faster charging (67 watts). Still has memory card slot (dual hybrid sim slot) and audio jack ;-)

  • Do all Motorola phones have no native Gallery app? I found that really odd

    • Yeah I'm not a fan of the Google photos app. It's clunky and annoying.
