  • How is the experience of using it on 1st floor? Does it detect stairs and stop?

    • +1

I have the older version which I have zero complaints about. We don't have stairs but it does detect out of bound areas that are set in the app. This should work for your stairs too.

    • +2

Mine recognises the stairs, so no worries.

    • +1

We use ours upstairs, it cleans right up to the edge, it's brilliant.

      • Any decent budget robot vacuum already does that since the first roomba.

        • So you're saying this is a decent budget robo vac. Thanks for confirming.

Here we go Looby Loo, Here we go Looby Light, Here we go Looby Loo, All on a Saturday night!

    • +3

      Thanks ms rachel

  • Can anyone who owns this model comment on how good it is? I have an old Viomi S9 and it’s been having lots of issues, eg not returning to dock to charge during clean, map resets, main wheel stuck

    • +2

Good mapping/software. Picks up dust and dog hair well. Very happy for the price, beats our Deebot

    • +6

I have the SL60D (not plus) with the auto empty station. Is a great vacuum, mapping, navigation and software works well, auto empty cleans out the vacuum fully. Really can't complain. Can't be beaten at this price point.

Be warned the empty station is very noisy, but it only runs for 15-20 secs so it's no big deal. It works.

You can get the dust bags cheap of Aliexpress. Stupid expensive on eBay for some reason.
      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006421706213.html

When it start it's scheduled clean clean it announces "appointment time is up" in a weird british/indian accent, so thats a bit odd.

      • +1

Can attest to the noise level, it's very noisy, so don't have it set to night time operation.

      • My SL60D never empties properly. I usually find the tank still full and blocked after the cyclonic noise emitted from the auto empty station.

    • +1

Nice vacuum for the price with good suction power. It picks up the dust very well, mopping is not so good, very basic. Very happy with the price-to-performance ratio.

    • Replaced my piece of shit s9 with this very deal. Looking forward to ditching that s9 - most disappointing purchase in ages.

@stringbean - legend thanks for the aliexpress tip.

    • Haven't used the mop function but vacuum function is great as per above comments and maps are great for exclusion zones. Planning to go for one more for 2nd floor when they get stock back in eBay

  • Any deal for the emptying station?

    • +1

      this comes with emptying station

    • $149 for the emptying station not sure if thats a good price.

      • -3

Thats nkt a good price. Gotta be sub 100

        • +1

Has it ever been sub $100? Doubt it would drop 33%, even with plus discounts.

        • Haven’t been sub $100 in the past AFAIK.

    • +4

Just paid $136 for the new self-emptying station.

Tip to anyone only needing this.

Make an offer (mine was $150) via their eBay listing, currently at $187. They will counter offer cheaper than the list price (mine was $170). Accept and checkout with the current code. Will save you an extra $34 on top.

      Bargain! ☺️

  • So this one has 2 brushes? This is better than the 4000?

    • +1

Yes the SL60D, even the legacy model with lower suction (works fine), has 2 brushes

  • How does it compare to Roborock? It’s so much cheaper, is it reliable?

    • It picks up dirt fine, mapping is pretty good as well. struggles alittle with dog hair though.

      • Is the mopping good enough compared to the rotating mop on the newer models?

        • +1

Mopping is just dragging a wet pad around. Better than nothing but it's not as good as real mopping

      • We have a cocker, sheds terribly, our Lubluelu does a fantastic job grabbing up his fur, the floors are palpably cleaner after it does its thing every second day

    • +4

      More difficult to pronounce

    • mine can't dock. but others have been successful. although I'm sorting it with support atm and for whatever reason sent a new auto empty bin to resolve the issue but didn't work

      • +1

        mine can't dock

Make sure you have enough space left and right and don't put the dock at the corner, as I remember somebody mentioned it on last deal.

I have no problem, only use charge dock.

        • I’ve done that. No luck.

They’ve suggested I try on a hard surface not carpet.

  • +1

Bought my Dreame D10s for ~$300 after cashback. This one comes with Auto Empty Dock. Better?

  • +2

    Lublu tebya

  • offers LiDAR 9.0 navigation, 7 cleaning modes, save up to 5 floor maps,

    Little spy device?

    • +11

Never walk barefoot near it or it'll send Lidar 3D scans of your feet back to China

  • Thanks - just ordered 👍

  • Got 1 +1

    • ?

  • “Package Listing: 20x Mop Cloths, that is all”

Anyone know if these new docks can handle the bigger dust-only vacuum bin?

    • The dock says it can only handle the dustbin and water version not the dust bin only one.

      • That’s disappointing. Thought that was the biggest improvement they could have made over the SL60D

        • +2

Yeah though I guess the larger 600ml bin is redundant as the smaller one will just automatically get emptied into the huge 2.5L bin in the dock so you never need to empty the bin in the vac again.

          • @Vyviel: true but the less frequently the dock's jet engine is fired up the better lol

            that thing is loud

        • The dual function bin attachment is more than sufficient for a single clean, your house would have to be in a constant state of disaster to require the larger bin + auto empty.

    • IIRC, the larger bin doesn't have the connector for the dock, so it won't work.

  • Do these require special dust bags to be purchased regularly or can they be reused at all?

    • You just empty the bag when its full and reuse it. If the bag eventually wears out but I dont see how it would if your vac is just sucking up dust and nothing weird you can buy another replacement bag for about $10 full price or cheaper elsewhere.

  • +3

Def keen on this as an upgrade to my xiaomi gen 1 lidar which is still rocking hard after 5 years.
Am keen on this models virtual walls and auto empty.

Sadly it's not on Amazon for this price or it would be an instant buy for me for the ease of returns.

Can anyone comment on battery life and reliability in terms of are they known to break easily?

Also, anyone know how this company with warranty?

Not super interested in these wet cloth mop things, can it operate without it?

    Cheers

    • +1

I'm upgrading from the same model. It's getting moved upstairs for a less demanding semi-retirement.

    • +3

I will buy from Amazon only, great after service

      • +1

Lol. I'm the opposite, I will never buy from Amazon because of the poor service from start to after

    • On Amazon current offering of SDL60D not a Plus though
and Self-Empty station totalled to $397.38 today with relevant discounts, coupons and combos.

A bit dearer, but not that much.

      • What the advantage of plus model ?

        • +1

As TS wrote in the opening post:

The SL60D Plus is an upgraded version of the original and offers 4500Pa suction (was 4000Pa), an increased climbing height of 20mm (was 18mm) and the auto empty dock now has dust capacity of 2.5L.

Given that in the same Amazon listing they were initially selling 3500PA gadgets with the same name …

  • I've been happy with my Lublueblu. The latest update resolved the issues of it bumping around not able to find the dock sometimes.

    • How long have you had it?

  • +2

Took the plunge. Hopefully it's rock solid like the xiaomi gen 1

  • -4

this or the upcoming roborock s8 maxv ultra????

  • Listing says Self Empty Duck………lol

    • -1

      Really?

  • -1

I went roborock and couldn’t be happier - sometimes value is a better metric than price.

    • Did you have something like this before you upgraded?

      • Admittedly I didn’t. I’m just saying you can get the s7 with station for around 800 sometimes. For the extra 400 you get mopping and impeccable software. I’ve never had to remap.

This one could be good too.

        • +2

This one has mopping too apparently. But yeah would be interesting to hear a comparison from someone who's had both this and something higher end.

    • Well, without the dock, I paid $235 for the Lubluelu. I am blown away with the vacuum performance. I can't imagine any of the robot vacuums being able to mop to my standard though. Nobody mops by dragging a wet rag along the ground one-way. I have to carry the set-up upstairs though, which is a pain. I may buy another for upstairs.

      • I put drops of antibacterial hand wash on the floor before mopping. It does the job when feeling lazy.

  • Wow - very good price for these types of vacs!

  • Joe Bob gives it a thumbs up. https://youtu.be/5vD_Yr_22BE?si=Sd5F4ImkGCxLAA36
Grabbed one for mum thanks op

  • Is there a Amazon link for this deal?

    • No eBay only.

  • +1

Thanks for this mate. desperately was waiting for a deal. ordered

  • Thanks op. Never owned a RoboVac before, how exciting.

    • +2

You're in for a treat. Even I'm tempted to replace my ageing Ecovacs with half the suction.

      • i havent replaced by ecovac after it died after 5 months

  • Would it be any good on carpet?

    • Yep

    • Yes, very good but battery won't enough for upstairs and downstairs if both have carpet.

      • Not sure about this but mine can charge and continue so it's bit time consuming but does the job at the end.

        • +1

Because I have to take it upstairs, so I just do downstairs first and let it recharge and do upstairs later.

  • Good price

  • Thanks got one! Will be my first robovac!

  • Is it easy to get replacement dust bags and brushes etc?

  • I can't seem to get the code to apply. I keep getting "This code cannot be applied to your order." I guess codes are all gone?

  • OOS

  • New SL68 also on special $239.20
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355539367985

    • Is that a better model?

      • Not sure, only newer model.

        • It is better than the plain SL60, but this deal is for the "Plus" model which comes with the Auto Empty Dock.

  • Anyone got a link to buy the dust bag?

  • The ones recommending this, for how long you have been using it?
