Dell Optiplex 7060 SFF RAM Upgrade Suggestions

Recently bought from ebay, deal posted Dell optiplex 7060 sff i5 8500 with 8 gb ram.

I'm confused with ram freq, latency, compatible issues with other ram brands.

There are 4 slots and as per manual it says RAM max frequency is 2666 Mhz and currently Sk Hynix brand. When checked ( Part number HMA81GU6JJR8N-vk) from cpuz. I could not find similar part number.

Not sure any brand of same frequency is fine and latency is alright?

I see more good pricing/deals for 3200 Mhz frequency and if i upgrade to 2*8 gig of higher frequency along with current 8 gig will have compatible issues?

      As everyone here is saying, its all easier than you think. Mixing even slightly different RAM used to be a problem, and maybe still is if you want absolute best possible performance, but its not an issue on PCs like the 7060.

      If you buy 2666 or anything faster, it'll just run at 2666.

    Most of these systems will take 3200 no worries but just run at 2666 in my experience.

    This processor also supports dual-channel DDR4-2666 RAM wasting money spending on anything faster.

    I have heaps from a dead Dell you can have for free lol
