Best Wireless Earphones or EarBuds under $250 in 2024

Question

What is the best (true) Wireless BT earbuds in 2023?

As more and more phones now come without a dedicated 3.5mm Audio Jack, it's not surprising that wireless audio devices are starting to become more popular. True Wireless earphones (abbreviated as TWS) are also now common as Apple Airpods have ignited a new trend & styling.

Some of the things you need to consider apart from their sound quality:

  • Battery life of both the charging case and earbuds
  • Size of the charging case
  • How well the buds fit in your ear, comfort, could you wear it while jogging or exercising
  • The quality of the microphone for clearer phone calls
  • Active noise cancelling or passive noise isolation
  • Water resistance (for sweaty workouts)
  • Whether they support your device's Find My Device network

We asked the same Question in 2023 and the Winner of the poll is Google Pixel Buds Pro, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and Apple AirPods 3 took a humble third place

if you don't like in-ear profile, and your ear shape can hold it, Samsung Galaxy Buds Live is the best earphones I've ever used.

    • I moved on from my Galaxy Buds Live, but my wife picked them up and loves them, where she cannot stand in-ears or over ear

The Buds 2 Pro for me (or the AirPods 2nd Gen if I want to hear stuff around me)

I would just recommend that anyone who experiences a bad fit with the Buds 2 Pro buy a 3 pack of foam tips for $10 off eBay. The stock ones were hopeless in my experience but the aftermarket ones did the trick.

    • You can get the same foam tips for around $3-4 on Aliexpress if the buyer can wait an extra 1-2 weeks :)

    • The buds2 pro cause ear infection, leaking fluid on my ears. Googled it seems to have a lot of threads on samsung and other forum regarding this issue. Maybe the metal bits sitting against skin or material in original tips causing infection.

Sony 1000xm5 or whatever they are.

    Suggested Beats Studio Buds

Works with Apple devices. Half the price of AirPods Pro. With noise canceling.

Samsung buds 2 pro are easily the best buds I've owned.

  • I've had 2 different models of Soundpeats and I recently tried the AirPods Pro (2nd generation - USB C), Galaxy Buds FE and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro were an obvious upgrade compared to all of the others. Incredible sound quality and noise cancelling (especially at gym).

Tip: Get the white ones unless you don't mind getting scratch marks on the graphite version's case.

That's just my experience but if "past-me" could read this comment, this is what would have helped me make up my mind.

  • I like my soundcore Space A40. They cost me $97 and have been reliable. The battery is starting to go and they are just over a year old.

    • I was looking at the liberty 4 nc from soundcore but a year of battery life doesn't sound very good? What have soundcore said about that?

My cheap taotronics have done 2 years before battery life issues and they were $12!

      • I am using liberty 3 pro. It's battery life is pretty good.

        • Ended up buying the Liberty 4NC and the new Earfun Air Pro 4! Why buy one when you can spend twice as much!

  • Had jabra 75T then went to pixel bud pros, the pixels blow them out of the water

    • I also had 75T and found the noise cancellation to be really great, especially on the noisy train.
How do the Pixel's do in noisy situation like that?

I just purchased some Nothing Ear (2024) and regret it, the noise cancellation is trash. Could hear people sat in front of my speaking just as loud as the podcast I was listening to. Could also hear the trains noise along with accountment of next station.. Waste of $210

  • Pixel buds? Really? I thought it was an easy win for the buds 2 pro

  • QCY HT05 melobuds

  • I am not sure how aware you guys are on the soundcore brand but this brand might be something you want to look at.

    Soundcore

I am currently using liberty 3 pro and I do like them, i think they are pretty good. Also, I think I would prefer the design of liberty 4.

I also have their soundcore motion plus speaker, got 2 of them can pair both and it is one the best value speaker out in the market.

  • I had samsung buds+, then pixel buds pro but drop easily. End up using Samsung buds fe now. No regret.

  • Suggested Soundcore Libery Pro 4 NC

Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, No brainer considering they're usually around 100 bucks.

  • Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

    • $150 and I will upgrade my A series.

  • Currently using Jabra Elite 7 Pro. I'm using it for long gaming sessions, it's worth it!
