Coles Blocked ME Because Another Ladies Shopping Got Stolen and I Tried to Advise Her

A lady posted in a community group on facebook that her shopping was stolen from her doorstep after the driver never knocked or anything. Coles refuses to help her. I made some suggestions but now discover that I have been blocked from their facebook page. They are trying to silence people.

Do you think Coles run the community group and uses it to steer people towards Coles?

    • +1

no ,they just must have seen the post.

      • +3

How do you think this worked?

        • Coles saw the post and reached out to the community admins
        • Community admins are Coles employees/shareholders/fans
        • +8

No they blocked me from their own page, not the community page

@screensaver: How did you find out you were blocked?
And, are you sure this wasn't from a prior interaction?

It seems a bit random to check the Coles Facebook page. I strongly doubt coles are monitoring random community groups.

Told them where they can put their watermelons.

Told them where they can put their watermelons pineapples.

      • @jv: Ouch that must have definitely hurt, no wonder Coles banned @screensaver, instead of saving the screen, if OP had saved watermelons the outcome would have been different๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    Cool story Brad from Woolworths

  • Coles refuses to help her.

I don't think it is Coles' responsibility if they can prove the delivery was made and was placed in the correct location.

    • +5

they actually said the driver was new and didnt take a photo, so they cant prove the delivery was made

      • just need a stat dec from the driver.

Surely they would have gps tracking on those trucks and can see where he went

Don't underestimate their incompetence. I had a Hello Fresh delivery driver leave the box at the neighbours front door because I submitted a note saying "leave it at the side gate".

Are you really interested in what goes on on the Coles Facebook page?

  • So you really believe Coles joins all the community pages on Facebook and block people if they don't like their comments??? Hmm

Anyway not missing out much regardless

    ummm
so a community group blocked you?

Not sure what Coles has to do with this?

Also did you see the eclipse PAM?

    • no Coles main page did, I have not posted there in years, if ever

      • -1

If you don't post on the main Coles page, but do post and haven't been banned from the Coles community group, how are Coles silencing you?

        • because its geared to coles customers obviously, and its not a coles community group

  • +3

Is there anything you wanted to discuss here or did you want us to all be outraged and boycott them? Maybe send a letter to A Current Affairs so they can run after an employee and capture some wobly footage.

    • Just be aware that the driver has no obligation to ensure you get your delivery, its okay to drop and run . Tough luck if its stolen.
If you make any complaints about their business practices on facebook, or leave a review under your real name somewhere you may be blocked

      • +4

Do you expect them to hang around and defend the food drop-off with their life?

      • +2

you expect coles or the driver has some responsibility past delivering to your door? anything after that is up to you and yes it is tough luck if it is stolen, just like anything else in your possession

        • -1

She had 350worth so he could have knocked on her door or texted

Just post this on Reddit and wait for NEWS.com.au to steal the story. You might even get an interview if it's a slow news day.

  • I'm surprised Coles even moderates their Facebook.

  • She now tells us they have deleted her online account

    • Sounds like more to the story. I have never heard of Coles or Woolies not refunding on lost deliveries, or missing items. Also even by todayts standards $350 is a good 6 - 8 large bags, or like 12 paper bags, of groceries and someone nabbing them walking past is unlikley.

So driver has pulled up entered her property dropped off multiple bags, then left, and then someone else has noticed this entered her property made multiple trips to and from their car and she did not notice or hear anything all the while expecting this delivery.

  • She said she is blocked too, but I have asked her if she means on facebook, just waiting to hear back

    • Was it just a block on Facebook? I have to find out how this one ends. Iโ€™m finding deliveries can often go to another address, their error and not deliberately stolen.

  • She states that they were supposed to call her when the delivery arrived because she needed help to carry it inside

  • Hi pam, how are you

current affair wants to speak to you

  • No they didn't
