How to Post a Deal?

Hey, I have been following the bargains under Deal section. Some of them are really good.

My question - I saw a pretty good one for pet food to share (Proud mom of two cats), how can I post this bargain under Deal, cos I see no button for me to post…

Thanks

    Is the deal in America?

      I don't get it…

    • Australia

      • Why mom and not mum though?

        • Ah…too much american drams with subtitle!

Because globalization? Both are fine. I mean, I still write mum but for other words, I will write whichever comes to me naturally, and many times it's not the Australian spelling. You noticed I wrote globalization instead of globalisation? American English spelling is the predominant one on the internet, so some us are more exposed to it. Same with American entertainment media, content creators, etc. which is why a lot of recent slang has developed from AAVE globally.

          • @Nillionaire: If you move to live in a new country permanently, don't you learn the local language?

You can try all you want with the "American English is predominant" excuse, but realistically people are just lazy and don't want to learn, not to mention assimilate.

@scooba: The day the word 'colour' is taught as 'color' in Australian schools, I'm rising from the grave to end the world.

              • @tekisei: Or what about how the septics say "I seen that" instead of "I saw that"? What kind of pigeon english is this?

                • @scooba: Bogans say that as well.

                  • @brendanm: They certainly do, mind you when I’m watching a show like Cops and I hear a police officer say it, I think “What the hell?”.

Must be related to this OP.

    • Thanks for asking. Cheers.

  • OZB is a bit like Reddit where the interface is kinda jank and it's something you have to learn, rather than being intuitive.

    • Yes, still learning about this site.

    • There's a generational difference at work. I'm obviously generalizing but I notice older people being more accustomed to email and don't find Slack intuitive. Younger people like me don't know much advanced email functions, sorting workflows, shortcuts, etc like they do. Many of us see Slack as objectively superior to email and even the people that never used it before, are able to pick up on it quick thanks to its similarities to Discord which many of us grew up using.

        • Cheers, I genuinely appreciate that
