  • Couldn’t see a single photo of it packed to figure out how small it looks. Also some reviews saying the stitching is weak.

    • I also couldn't find a photo of it packed, I'll probably just fold it anyway, it's only 330g. Stitching complaints are common in reviews for anything using textiles. If it's bad I'll just return it.

      • Open: 10.5"x17"x6 Packed: 10.5"x6"x1"

      • Stitching is about the most crucial thing with packs. Packs are useless if shoulder strap attachment fails, zipper stitching fails, etc.

Have used free promotional day packs for a decade as carry on luggage. Still in good condition after daily use & so many overseas trips.
Even used a 30 year old Lowe Alpine pack for 12 days hiking on Overland Track & other tracks in Tas.

Good stitching is crucial when travelling! Returning is not an option, unless you want to post it back at your expense or bring the useless thing back!

But bought a cheap day pack in China - threw out after a day as straps fell off due to poor stitching!!

so you’re back to being an infidel rather than travelling? :)

          • @tonester: Few would talk to me as "Rather be Travelling"😭
At Ozbargain meets - I was still known as INFIDEL.
            Had the op last night😉

            • @INFIDEL: that’s because you’d rather be travelling - being an infidel invites/provokes reaction :)

              • @tonester:

being an infidel invites/ provokes reaction :)

Oh I know. Adds a bit of spice!
                I like being a bad boy! Playing a little with people's preconceptions😂

Some wrongly assumed my religion & views.(Is it OK that I'm drinking beer now… So soon after Ramadan??)

"Rather be Travelling" was true, but a bit blah!
Deep down, I always was an INFIDEL (an unbeliever)😉

[As a student at Uni, drunkenly created a popular student newspaper. Created a dodgie persona to go with my new role.
People then insisted I attend the best parties, hand out awards & attend official functions, my name was graffitied on Uni walls, women wanted to be seen with me😊 Uni paid me well to lecture on writing (had no degree or experience)!
Happened only because of a change in people's perceptions, not me!]

                • @INFIDEL: Lesson in life & business: It's not who you know, but who knows you!
Lots on this online eg Forbes

Later, picked up another degree, appropriately in Social Psychology😊 Had my own CBD corporate consultancy, until retired to travel in my 30's

nice - consulting obviously pays :)

@INFIDEL: you’ll always be Bruce to me :)

                  • @tonester: Never watched "Bruce Almighty". (48% on Rotten Tomatoes)

Often travel overseas wearing T-shirts I print with "Bruce" (spelt phonetically) in language of country am in. Can get some interesting reactions.

In Summer Palace garden in Beijing, over 100 people shouted "Hello Bruce!". Security guards mimicked Kung Fu moves - thinking it was an homage to Bruce Lee!!

One way to be noticed & meet people on travels. And wonderful memories for me😉

In Japan… Stopped in at the Tourist Information Centre in Nara. Old volunteer was excited. Other member explained he had seen my Kanji (on my shirt) before. He was looking for a name card with it. Realised I'd left it there years before. Gave him my name card - that made him very happy😊
                    (It's my avatar on Ozbargain!)

Was politely followed in the park… Forgot I had been recorded performing traditional story telling (Rakugo), in English - wearing the t-shirt. Until I was approached & praised for my first performance. So many recognised me my t-shirt from TV😊

                    consulting obviously pays :)

Even as an undergrad Uni student long ago - was clearing $250/hr presenting classes & workshops in my own business. That was 3 times what the Uni paid me for lecturing. And a lot more fun!

My consultancy built on that experience.
One client (sales rep) became the State Manager of his section of the Multinational in 3 weeks, with my help. Then in 5 minute session, he developed a new product / service estimated to be worth $350M a year in extra sales world wide. The methodology I was trained in had amazing results!
Just another fun day at the office for me.

It’s not considered “theft” if it just falls out

      • Doesn't the photo of it on the girl's back give a good indication of size?

      • Gravity is nature’s thief.

    • and its pretty heavy too for a packable bag at 400g
