Hi guys,
If I buy a Sandisk product with lifetime warranty from Amazon JP or US (via Amazon AU), does that in anyway limit the ability to claim the warranty if a problem arises?

I did check the warranty page prior to posting, but could not make sense of it.
Buying from Amazon is usually a pretty safe bet that you can get a refund if it dies, even outside the normal warranty.
Yeah but approach lifetime warranties with a bit of scepticism.
Lifetime warranty has many different meanings so best to look into their warranty claims
I have had a sandisk extreme USB stick replaced successfully that I purchased on Amazon USA.
Thanks, did you go through Amazon or Sandisk for the warranty claim?
Through Sandisk directly.

Since you have not bought them from Sandisk directly locally, but a second/third party (Amazon), then do not expect to have JP lifetime warranty applicable in Australia. The equivalent if you went to Japan, bought a USB stick from a shop there and brought it back to Australia, you are not going to have transferrable warranty locally here for it.
Having said that, the exception is if they offer international warranty (e.g. Apple), although their support page does not state that. Best course of action would be to ask their support directly.
