Weird Science for $36.55 from the Au site is great value. It's another Arrow Films release who do some great work

    • Is this movie actually any good? Or do I just have fond memories as I was 13 when it came out and was the target audience?

I rewatched it recently, Hopkins wasn't quite as freaky and Foster wasn't quite as hot… still a great film though.

      • Weird Science in a Silence of the Lambs thread!

Are DVD's becoming the new Vinyl's?

    i.e. they're so expensive these days…

  • exxy?

  • Mary had a little…..Ssshhhh

  • Playback Region A/1 : This will not play on most Blu-ray players sold in Australia and New Zealand. We recommend checking the format and region compatibility before making your purchase.

Is this something to worry about?

    • +1

      4K is region free

  • What's the go with Watchmen there? The picture shows the 4K box, but the listing says it's BluRay? There's a warning there saying it's Region A/1 so won't work on Australian players. I was under the impression that 4K discs were region free? Or is the warning just for the included director's cut on region 1 BluRay, and the Ultimate Cut is on a region free 4K disc?

      Product description

Watchmen: Ultimate Cut (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray)

Just typical Amazon shit. If it's the wrong item, just return it.

Movie that im okie to watch it at 720p.

  • Is this supposed to be cheap?

  • Is there an app to read these disks?

  • IMO, i don't think this is worth getting in 4k if you have it on bluray. I find it hard to justify this kinda price when it isn't a very visual/special effect kinda of movie that would be 'better' or benefit being 4k.

    • Some of the others listed there are, though. In particular Watchmen and Pan's Labyrinth. Especially Pan's Labyrinth… one of my all time favourite movies.

  • I smell your c###. Great movie.
