Interior Design Software Recommendations

Misses and I have been trying to plan out how to organise a few rooms. Basically looking at doing a couple of walls in colour (i.e. feature walls), furniture placement, how to make a 3m x 3m cinema room with an 85" OLED (wait… what?). Something that just lets us visualise what we're doing.

I could just do it in MS paint but I figure there must be software out there for taking a house schematics, photos of rooms and then add in furniture, basically what real estate agents do. Floorplanner.com seemed weird on pricing and roomtodo managed to crash Chrome. So I'm hoping there's a simple solution someone knows of.

I used sweet home 3d, was pretty easy and free windows software.

There will be some homeware / furniture stores that will have very easy to use web based software, maybe check ikea website?

    • Thanks for recommendation. I used it as well and fairly straightforward to use. Good to watch their 10 minute intro yourtube video first.
