have a wedding coming up, distant family so not sure what to get? Any suggestions? thanks
What is a good wedding present for about $100
Comments
yes, that is probably the best idea, easy to, but was just wondering as the relative is on my husbands side and he would like to give something. thanks, any other thoughts??
Usually there is a wishing well (for you to drop your card and money into) or a gift registry, either or those?
No gift registry unfortunately, and not sure about the wishing well, at the moment I want to spend time trying to find a present or get some ideas, if I do not find anything we will give money. Oh the couple are in there early 30's so I imagine they are not needing much kitchen stuff, maybe just extras.. thanks for your thoughts
Cash
Yep Cash every time!
Especially for people who have their place set up.
Anything you buy them will be "junk they don't need"The only thing I'd consider is pooling your cash with others to buy them something big that you know they might like but can't afford/justify.
wait for myer offering $110 gift cards for $100 bucks. i got them as a gift, seems like ur giving more than u are, haaha
Can't believe people still actually buy gifts and bring it to a wedding. It's not 1947 people, get with the times.
CASH is an envelope with an intimate message for the bride and groom. Done and dusted! They'll appreciate it more than your gift.
Is it just me, or is there a terrible irony in holding a wedding and reception that costs tens of thousands of dollars, only to expect your guests to fund your communal house set-up costs with cash/gift cards?
Some people obviously have their priorities around horribly wrong.
You could get them some nice crystal whisky or wine glasses.
Unless you know what their fav store is, give them cash instead of gift cards. Gift cards are almost like a phone contract.
The last few wedding I went to, it was all cash in envelopes. When my wedding comes around next year, I want cash. As I have bought everything I need, and any gifts given would just go into the back of a cupboard. Be wary of wine glasses, 4-5 people still bring them to a wedding.
Cash in red envelope or gift cards always work. Easy for you, and they probably prefer it as well.
