I've found a mechanic on AutoGuru that's cheaper than my dealership and thinking about doing my next logbook service with them.
However, it's a mobile mechanic. From a convenience point of view, this actually works out better as I can work from home that day. But I've never used a mobile mechanic - any one got experiences - where do they normally do the service? I've got a garage but it might be a little crammed - it's not very deep. Would they generally be able to work on the street or the nature strip? If it rains would they need to cancel?
Also, can they usually do a good enough job given they won't have as many tools as if they were working from a garage?
If its a logbook service its just going to be oil + filters generally. Very few specialty tools needed unless its booked for a major, in which case they would probably prefer to do it in a shop anyway.
