Hi all, what's the best, reasonably priced, easy to use CCTV POE system currently on the market? Bonus if there's a doorbell cam in the ecosystem.
Looking for a product for my elderly parents. They're not very tech savvy but can use apps etc. But my thinking is the DVR installed on in their HDMI 3 of their Bedroom TV and they can check for those bumps in the night.

If budget isn't really an issue, Ubiquiti cameras are pretty good. There's a doorbell option too. It's not stored in the cloud, so no subscription fees.
Ubiquiti is crap, don't be fooled by the name. If chairman Xie is not your concerns then dahua or hikvision will beat them by thousand miles at fraction of the price. That is the high end segment, for budget you can't beat reolink or the like.

I’m pretty sure in the case of security cameras, people are more concerned with Chinese government influence than for other products… Most people would prefer to pony up a few extra $$$ than join the CCP mass surveillance network.
What's so bad about ubiquiti, besides the cost? I've been using it for years at home and it's been very reliable. One of my main requirements was that the footage not be stored in the cloud. The other was the cameras were inconspicuous. The software for the others seem to be horrible based on the reviews.

Only if they're iOS people, consider cameras that support HomeKit Secure Video.
