  • Never hear of Webull, how long the company has been around?

  • Is it chess? Have to pay cgt to sell and move to new broker if not

    • Yes for Australian shares it is Chess sponsored.

The advantage of Webull against Stake and Self wealth is that they provide interest on the cash sitting in your account.. !!!

    • "Have to pay cgt to sell and move to new broker if not"

      This isn't correct.

    • Transfer sames to the same person doesn't trigger an event.

  • Good time to look at AAPL and TSLA

  • Standard fee $0.00025 X Trade Value

  • How does this compare to commsec? Interested to invest in IVV

    • in what sense you want to compare?

As far as trading platform is concern then it is very good compared to commsec as I have both. Webull provides desktop app which is far more superior then commsec basic web based trading as it comes with charts & lot of information around company accounts, analyst rating, etf rating etc at no cost for US stock & ETF.

You can trade options in US market as well for lower fees compared to commsec.

Best thing that I like about webull is interest on the cash sitting in USD as well AUD account. No other cheap broker like Stake ASX or Selfwealth provides that.

If you are intending to try then use the link above for random referral (don't click on the image to signup) and it shows current reward program including zero brokerage for US stock & ETF, $100 reward for $200 deposit or $200 reward for $1000 deposit plus $5000 reward for transferring shares.. !!

All this reward has terms and condition such as how long you need to keep your deposit in webull (You will get interest on the cash in the webull account 2%) plus if you are transferring then term will tell you how long you need to hold the shares to qualify for the rewards.

try opening account just to get feel of how it works as i did the same and used the trial account without trading for 3 month before start using it. i currently use webull & stake both but will be out of stake once i run out of my free referral reward with them.

      • @SydBoy,

Have you tried Moneybull to earn up to 5.3% p.a. on uninvested cash? Just wondering if it applies to AUD as well?

        • No USD only.

          • @Sheng: cool…. interactive cheaper commission and better rates for uninvested AUD

        • I use that for USD as it's not available for AUD. For AUD their rate is 2%.

Remember money bull invest money into money market to earn high interest rates, so you need to check what interactive does to give high interest rate

I have interactive as well but their desktop applications is very complex and very slow. It kills speed of my computer.

Also, IBKR allow one free money transfer per month but there is no such restriction with webull.

Also, webull uses payto which in my experience was super fast then ibkr.
