DoorDash DashPass Services Fee Variability

What services fee do you pay with DoorDash DashPass (Australia)?

Per this help article from 24 March there were some changes to the subscription cost and services fee benefit for DashPass.

  • New Sign ups on DashPass - has no reduced service fee benefit
  • Existing DashPass subscribers - has "Cx continue to enjoy 5% benefit on service fee"

I'm paying a 12% services fee with minimum order condition met for DashPass by merchant (typically $20 order minimum). This is with DashPass signed up in Australia. DashPass can have other benefits when signed up elsewhere, like Canada Amazon Prime.

I don't see the default service fee % stated anywhere so I don't know how to verify what the actual services fee should be, ie. base % less the 5% stated benefit for existing customers. It seems some customers are getting 9% as the services fee.

i was a dash pass subscriber and was payingh 12.5 - 15%. I think it is based on how many orders you make though they wont tell you that.
The prices of the food and surcharges are getting ridiculous now. Last month I cancelled my subscription due to the cost increases.

    • Thanks, seems around 12% is about right then.

The pricing is crazy. The latest promo with 40% off served me a local pizza place that was selling pasta dishes for $55. Yeah, but no. I also dislike the trend of only honoring promo codes for new places to try.

  • Im canceling soon. Service fee price is ridiculous

  • From memory I was getting 5% with an American DashPass subscription (used in Australia) and 12% with my Australian DashPass.

    • Cheers for that. Have heard this is about right for other account holders as well.

  • I have two accounts, one with DashPass, one without. Service fees are regularly lower in my opinion on the no pass account. I'm also regularly offered half price delivery fees. As I place more orders through the DashPass account, I would agree with the more you order the more you pay theory.
