Hi Guys, I'm looking at heading to fiji in mid january 2013. I've been looking around and so far i've seen some pretty alright packages on myfiji.com. I was wondering if there were any other sites that included bonuses such as day cruises, massages, room/hotel credits, jet ski hire, etc. Myfiji.com seem to be the only site i can find that does decent packages. I was looking on trip advisor, and i think it might be best to stay in Denauru? Also, tip advisor suggested the radisson blu resort. Are there any packages going for this hotel at the moment? i dont know where to look, or even if flight centre can do any of these sort of packages. Please help . I'm open to suggestions. It's for two people :-)
Fiji Packages - where to start?

If you are open to just getting the best deal at the time, I suggest Travel Online. They have some good packages with extras.
If you have a friend/relative there, they can book the resorts using "local" rates compared to tourist rates. My aunty who lives in Suva did that for us when we went to Sofitel in Denarau
In the weekend newspapers they have the travel section and there is a specialist for pacific holidays…. good idea to start there. Usually they have a full or half page ad for all pacific destinations
So far Travel Online is looking like a good option.. especially if we stay in the Radisson Blu Fiji. Although I still like myfiji.com packages better, they come with hotel credits and cruises as bonuses. Can anyone recommend any hotel or know of other sites to book? Thanks for all suggestions so far :-)
I ended up booking http://www.travelonline.com/fiji/denarau/accommodation/radis… , so 4 free nights. Then i went to flight centre and got them to beat it by $1 (just because my friend works there and gets commission for the sale).
I'm now looking for some cheap insurance that will cover me over my trip and also any tours i should do. I've booked the south sea island full day tour so far. I need suggestions on what to do. Any help is much appreciated =)
I had a flight booked to Fiji a few years ago and ended up cancelling it. I did some research.
I think where you stay is highly personal. If my recollection is correct (and it may not be) Denauru is near the main area on the mainland. I recollect that it is quite sterile.
So, it depends on what you want and how comfortable you feel with travelling around.
They have catamaran routes where you go from island to island and stay for either a predetermined and prebooked time or as long as you like.
There are also boat trips where you go off for 3 - 5 days and snorkel/scuba, etc.
Fiji was, in my opinion, a destination rife with choices.
I would personally not stay in Denauru, regardless of the accommodation. I'd be moving around, especially if I had the safety of a travelling partner.
