      I got suckered into the hype and gave one of these deals a go.

      I found them comfortable but not really different that cheap aliexpres equivalents priced about $5 and after about 4 wears they started to go into holes. Some of the worst wearing underwear I've ever owned.

    The only reason you buy step one over the others is the lycra panels. This is especially important if you live in humid climates or are a bit on the chunky side.

    Yes there are alternatives, mentioned here many times before (kmart, tackle, tradie, etc). However, only the ones with lycra panels are worth comparing. The ones on aliexpress do NOT have the lycra (if you think you've found the link, then post it).

    I got a bunch of these a few years ago when they made a mistake where you could order an extra pair at checkout for 7$ or something then remove the full priced items.
    I've been wearing them since then, on some of them the elastic band is tearing away from the boxer part so I'm throwing them out as they get too bad. Overall they're holding together ok, but I think the survivors are at the tail end of their life. Jokes aside I wear once and wash so if you're uh, less concerned with that I'm sure they'd last longer.
    My review is, at 7 bucks they're a good deal, at 35 they're probably not worth it? At 16.50ish it's hard to say but I don't think they stand out in terms of comfort, design, durability.
    If you look on aliexpress you can find what appears to be the exact same boxers for substantially less, though I've not purchased any so that is only conjecture.
    I think I'll go full cotton as I replace these, I don't like sending all those synthetic fibres out into the ocean.
