They're cheap again, good enough to save some dollars and transfer out when you're ready.

hear hear
you mean 'here here'.
Unless you heard him twice.
The correct phrase is actually 'hear hear'.
I'm interested to know what you have against them. Who do you prefer?
Godaddy are the scummiest of all domain registration companies. Spend $1.99 and you'll find out how first hand just how scummy they are in one years time. Don't forget to signup for free whois protection, its so easy to cancel come renewal time.
Actually very hard to cancel, they refuse to release it until you pay them some sort of fees, i remember they want to extort me $25. and their renew fees after the first year is $25 compare with others around $7 for the same name. read review about them… they are a nightmare to deal with
I remember when I went to cancel the whois protection. When I signed up for it, it seemed like it was free forever. Come renewal time there was a charge for it, I can't remember how much exactly but it was more than the renewal.
When I wanted to cancel it all of a sudden its not a service provided by godaddy, rather some other company whom I apparently had a separate login for. From memory I had to FAX my drivers license to the US to get a login and cancel before renewing without the extra charge.
You couldn't pay me enough to ever deal with godaddy again.
A very newbie question, sorry about that. But how do you transfer an already registered domain to be under your name, if someone else has registered it for you earlier?
automatic skip with some technique?
Not that easy

Makes it harder, eh.
Not able to use paypal. I am not trust godaddy for holding my credit card. No deal.
They support paypal…or does it not apply to this promo? I have a number of domains with them and have been using Paypal for years.
expired already?
Leaving Godaddy is a pain in the neck; and takes no less than 60 days if you've got privacy enabled.
Ah danica patrick, how lovely you are
Stay the hell away from GoDaddy — they're one of the most shady, lock-you-in type companies around…
Use namecheap or something else — I usually use Hover who also offer free private registration and 10% off discount with "HONEST" or some other easily google-able discount code
Namecheap is $4/yr ongoing and less than $3/yr for private registration
In summary — f*you GoDaddy, you're never getting another cent from me.
Does thos one include transfers?
