Mouse with Onboard Memory That Can Connect to 3 Devices

Hi all,

I am looking for a mouse that can connect to 3+ devices and has onboard memory and can work with Win and Mac.

Logitech mx master 3s unfortunately do not have onboard memory. Meaning I can’t use this on work laptop that requires proprietary software to customise buttons.

Razer pro click ultra, while this fulfills my needs. It’s connectivity lags badly, maybe I got defective product though.

Most gaming mouse I find can only connect to 2 devices, like razer ones.

Price not an issue.

Many thanks!

  • Meaning I can’t use this on work laptop that requires proprietary software to customise buttons.

Does your work laptop not allow 3rd party software install?

Is the basic functionality/buttons not suitable? I generally only use the forward and back buttons on my MX Master 2 and 3. I love the feature of switching between devices for the mice, I find I don't need the software installed to customize the buttons because the default buttons are fine.

      Yeah they dont allow.

Need to adjust the dpi, also need to change buttons for mac.

The default sensitivity in mac with this mouse is horrible imo

      • same. they dont allow. i requested and gave the link to logitech they said no. i like to have the same setup as work and own laptop. the gesture is a bless
oh well see my response below

  • m720 has 3 computer selectors on it
Install the software on a personal laptop, apply the preferences, and then pair the mouse with 3 bt computers

From rtings website this doesnt have onboard memory

So preferences from the personal laptop only works there

      • hmm … I guess i could try this out tonight. I literally have 3 of those mice on default settings right now and only 1 computer with the software

  • The Microsoft Ergonomic Mouse connects to and saves 3 devices

Forgot to say I need to be able to adjust the dpi sensitivity, and must work with Mac

  • Price not an issue.

    Make your own.

  • me and someone had this same issue months ago and after a bit of discussion, she managed to convince the IT to install. no luck for me.
    my research was:
    logitech G502X, G604
not sure 3 but 2 devices can.
didnt end up buying any of those as i like using vertical lift now

    • It’s ridiculous that logitech mx master at that price has no memory.

Kinda need three though, as i got two work laptops. I guess i have to use two mice

  • Just be very careful. I’ve bought mouses supposedly with onboard memory but you needed to have the proprietary software installed or it didn’t do anything.

    • Which ones?

      • I honestly can't remember if it was the Corsair or the Razer. Both cost about $100, both were garbage, both had crap software. I'm pretty sure it was the Corsair. Either way I'll never buy their mice or keyboards again.

The onboard memory profile for DPI, button macros and lighting scheme did not actually load into the mouse until the software loaded. And if you used the mouse on a different computer, it just went back to default settings until you installed the software, and then you had to navigate the atrocious software to load the profile from the mouse memory into the software, which would then configure the mouse. Stupidest system I ever saw, clearly a feature intended only to be printed on a box and never actually used by anybody. The more I think about it I'm pretty sure it was iCue and the Corsair mouse. The buttons stopped working after about 12 months and even though it had a 2 year warranty, Amazon would not process a repair/replace when the buttons started registering multiple clicks, a known issue apparently.

        • ok thanks. anyway im stuck with logitech has too many of them

  • What is the memory for?

    • To store the customised setting of the buttons etc

      • +1

That is done via the driver on the OS when you configure it from what I have seen.
