  We seem to have a very low benchmark to call anything intelligent, thanks to predatory marketing. Why don't they just call it remote controllable???

    I agree. It's a remote controlled relay.
    Any "intelligence" is tied to the controlling assistant - which is operating on a conditional anyways (open at this time, close now, etc)

      Have not used this yet, but if it works with Home assistant, you can get real automation (As long as the company aren't assholes and start issuing cease and desists)
