These two come out to about the same price as the Xpreria S over a 24 month contract - but you get no lock in contract, and you own the phone outright from the start.
There will be some new phones launched in January but they probably won't be on sale until March. The Xperia S is a really good choice as it is Sony's high end model and it will receive a jelly bean update next year
