Even at half price Aldi are cheaper and have larger packets. $2.99 for 200grams. Quality is not the same to me though, they seem a little bit oilier or greasier. Maybe that's just me? But I think it's certainly better value.

Word of warning, Aldi's chips have been shrinkflated. Was there on the weekend and packet are 175gms for $2.99

      • you might be looking at the wrong flavour
the normal flavours are 200g, the more 'exotic' flavours weight less

        • No it was their standard flavour ones (salt, salt and vinegar, etc). The special editions were actually still 200gms but 3.49

This was at Majura ACT, but this is more of a word of warning as I reckon they are rolling out this shrinkflated size nationwide.

      • Ahh, I didn't know that. I bought a couple of packets about a week or so ago and they were still 200 gms.

        • Think they are rolling the new smaller size out nationwide, so probably stock up on the older size.

  • sometimes at $2 pre-covid.. oh,,, when will we see you again

  • +4

Remember when these were 200 g packs?

    • I wonder if the companies are thinking of the consumer and their health which is why they've shrunk the contents.

Nah, profits all the way baby.

    • +1

shrink-flation seems to have affected just about everything

yea even the missus tells me off (jks I don't have a partner)

  • Time to get a box from Woolies then. Ran out of honey soy.

    • Honey soy is excellent, I even enjoy the Aldi brand version of this flavour, very addictive!

The 290g family packs were $4.20 last week at Foodland and Coles. Throw in 5% gift card + 10x points. Stocked up!
Don't see this as a deal.

    • +7

If you thought that was a better deal, why not share it with everyone else when it's available?

  • In case anyone's heading to Woolies to pick some up, check your Everyday Rewards app to see if you've also been given a 'Collect 5x points on selected Red Rock Deli varieties' point booster. Sweetens the deal a bit, particularly if you're buying a bunch.

    • +1

Yeah I just got that. Unusual to get a booster on a sale item.

Trio of Cheese is the best flavour they make. Try it if you havent!

    • Have not seen that one, I will look for it now, it sounds good 👍

      • Its so good… if you like cheesy things….

Its got "limited edition" on the pack bit its been around a while now.

        • Yep, definitely a fan of cheesy things! 🧀 But that's probably 98 percent of the population I think 🤣

Ah I see, get people hooked and then yank supply 😅 I hope they don't go cancelling a winning flavour

          • +2

@wonderboy4: I contacted PepsiCo and asked if it was actually limited or not, and they told me it should be around for a while longer

We are delighted that you are enjoying the Trio of Cheese. That is my favourite also. It should be around for a while longer.

  • I think these might go well with some sour cream and salsa, been meaning to try this out

  • My favourite chips
