    Does referral stack with this?

    • Try it. Why not?

      • Will try on a new device when it arrives - auspost delays!

        • I have put my referral in the referral system. Keen to see if it works.

    • It did stack last time and available to use once you've used free 1GB. I used this few months ago overseas. Used this at Australian Airports, Hong Kong Airport in transit, didn't work at Changi Airport Singapore somehow and worked at Delhi and Mumbai airports. Check that you've got the app downloaded and the right settings in your device, all APN settings are on their website, save or take screenshots in case you've to reset it during roaming. This made calling home and overseas both so much easier without connecting to the Airport Wifi and worked inside the Airplane as well until you switch to the Airplane mode.

      • Singapore is not on its supported countries list.

        • +1

I asked support why they don't cover Singapore although it's their home country. They replied that for Singapore, being a local company, they would need to implement KYC and that would make sign up much more difficult

  • It says “This device is already registered to another Eskimo account.
    Please use another device.”

Weird coz I’ve never really used the service. Tried deleting the app and saved eSIMs but still the same error.

    • +1

That's strange. I have tested it, before posting.

What do you mean by you've "never really used the service" because if you've signed up before, that means you're no longer a new customer. They probably identify you by IMEI. Though I'm not sure of that.

      • iOS does not allow imei to be shared to apps.

        • when trying to install an eSIM, it'd have to have access to your IMEI for it to work, wouldn't it?

  • Does not stack with referral.

    • same here, didnt get the extra 500mb :(

  • Thanks. Registered on app and got the 1gb.
I travel in few months.. do I install esim now or just before flying out

    • If you’ll be using the same device, why not now. plan expires in 2 years. personally id do it closer to the time

  • What's the cheapest way to access an esim, ie cheapest phone, dongle, tablet ?

  • +1

Stack Use the code 3X to get 40% discount on 5G data

    • This code does work if anyone wants to add some more data (still not cheap). Gives 'up to 40% off' (higher discount on smaller amounts). Valid till 31st March.

      • Going to china in a couple months, do you know what the best options would be?
Guessing getting a local sim would be cheapest?
But this 1gig will be great for quick message once arrived.

        • Dunno. Not been there. Yes, I'd just be using this for the airport to first nights destination trip.

    • +1

Read the instructions as per the OP? Seriously?

  • This does not stack with a referral. It's one or the other. I spoke with their chat and they added an extra 500mb for me.

Redbull e-SIM sill gives 1.1GB free using the code TRAVELDEALZ
    https://esim.redbullmobile.com/?utm_campaign=S_INT-EN_B_RBM-…

    • Already posted

    • Only lasts a month doesn’t it?

      • A year
A month would still be acceptable though

  • "Virtual" eSIM? What's a "non-virtual" eSIM? 😉

    • +1

A physical eSIM tag. You sync the eSIM to your phone via NFC.

  • I just bought my Wife a Motorola G54 with e-SIM but have not yet used that feature. Can she have multiple e-SIM accounts on the phone such as this one and the Redbull one and you can just select which one you want to use via network settings?

    • +1

      Yes

i usually read just 4 to 5 words of each line before deciding if I need to continue reading. I had to continue reading what you wrote.

  • Installed on Island profile ('virtual' work profile on android), sign up, redeem, succeed.

    • Is that after having signed up for one on your non-work side?

      • +1

        Yep!

  • The app is available on google play only? Is there an apple ios version available

  • -2

My Chinese dual sim Iphone 15 plus doesnt support esim, i wonder if it work with the app

    • What app?

    • You can get yourself a physical eSIM from 5ber

  • Lol our phone plan expires in 3 days but catch hasn't despatched our sims yet. Wonder if I could just use this to tide us over when we are out

  • Anyone successful using this free esim?

    • Yes activated while overseas today, works well and webchat help was v quick (under 5 minutes response time)

Feedback on this on my trip to Vancouver and Alaska. I initially had some issues in Vancouver. I believe it was registering with the wrong provider. I contacted them via chat and they assisted. Basically if you have issue check the carrier that it should be on (via list of countries/providers) and if necessary manually change. Then restarted the phone and worked.

I also needed to restart my phone in Alaska. It had worked fine for 2 days but then stopped working.

Overall excellent value (i.e. free - lol) but then I ran out of data and paid $6usd for another 1GB data in North America with 1GB bonus global data. Long expiry is a bonus.

got this a few months ago -has come in handy several times when SIM hopping too slowly goes wrong and I end up with no internet access - I just turn the eskimo eSIM on and use a lil bit of the 1gb of data to hunt down a new good deal to hop to
