Pokemon Landscape Scene AI Image Generation

We are moving to a new place and there is a small study which will be my WFH office. I am wanting to put in a large almost whole wall (3.2m x 2m) wallpaper of a landscape pokemon scene. I have been trying to use a few different AI tools to generate an image as I can't find anything online but they all seem to struggle to put actual pokemon into it, despite my prompts. Does anyone know of anything that will help me with this? Ideally want to add only gen1 pokemon in flying, swimming, eating, doing whatever.

A few landscape shots attached of what I am looking at (not the correct size) to give you an idea. These are all from free AI generators ATM.

You're better off paying an artist to create something for you. It will look more like what you want and not be filled with the uncanny valley nonsense.

    • I did think I might need to pay someone but was hoping I could do it via AI myself as I could be as picky as I wanted. Not just back and forward with an artist and/or creating a very detailed idea.

my prompt: picture of a green lush landscape with autumn and fall trees, lakes and mountains, with articuno and charizard flying in the air, bulbasaur hiding in the treetops, blastoise swimming in the lake, geodude hiding in the mountains, anime cartoon style

I had assumed that Game Freak had copyright over their designs and they would have jealously protected their IP and blocked training… but it does appear even the free image generation AI has fairly good training data on pokemon images.

    • Ahh cool, your first and last one are getting to where I want it to be. I wanted them to be almost miniature so I could have lots scattered all over the landscape. What AI did you use to generate those?
I did forget your point about Game Freak, I thought maybe the reason I couldn't get them added in was some copyright protection.

        I used Bing (DALL-E-3).

With correct and very specific prompting I believe you can get what you had in mind, you just need to use specific keywords to make things look very far away.

perhaps keyword like "Tilt Shift Photography" or "Miniature effects" or "aerial photography". You can also simulate certain lens effects by using keywords like "50mm" "85mm" to refer to camera focal length.

        • I am trying to use the free Bing one but my first prompt has been 'creating' for about 2hrs now lol
          Thanks for the tips

        • Bing finally came in with my images and yeah there are too many pokemon now using my original prompt haha.

Problem is AI generating stuff likes to take it's own spin on the actual pokemon while I was hoping for 1:1. Guess I can generate the background and then will need an artist to put the pokemon in for me.

      • It's shocking low resolution for a 3.2m wall though. You still might want to pay someone to make a vector version of the art for wherever you get the custom wallpaper printed.

        • Yeah I wouldn't use those to print ATM as I said. Just wanting to find a way to generate what I want and then get high quality versions.
What are the advantages of getting a vector version?

@knobbs: If the lines were all vector then it would be like unlimited resolution. When you are close to it you don't see square pixels, you see smooth lines (assuming the wallpaper printer prints at a high resolution). Adobe Illustrator can convert a raster into a vector but results can be mixed. But will still look better than just the raster.

Bing AI outputs 1025x1025 images, so at 3.2m big each pixel would be about 0.3cm large. The image would look blurry/soft. if you're going to the expensive of printing it on wallpaper you may as well use a high resolution image.

@knobbs: Scalability, So it won't look s*** when stretched across a few metres on your wall.

Even consider asking a tattoo artist to design the piece. A lot of artists create art as a side hustle. https://www.instagram.com/jcastle.art/ (unfortunately I can't see any of his older work on there. He used to do a lot of anime tattoos and portraits but no longer tattoos and does art by consignment I believe. Just a thought
