  • That's cheap for new.
Unless you're happy with a refurbished one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224794246468?itmmeta=01HSW1D1E60…

    Or this one, new: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145169012519?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

    Haha thanks guys

    I forgot about answering machine

I assumed that all recent cordless phone would have answer machine lol

  • It's the opposite now, most won't have voicemail built in to the physical phone.
Voicemail is built into the NBN network now, not stored in the phone itself, that is long gone (mostly).

    • Thanks didnt know

I have nbn, is the voicemail free with the nbn plan?

Or do we have to pay as an extra for the voice mail feature?

      • I haven't seen any provider charge for voicemail in a few years. Comes as a standard feature.

    • Thanks

Panasonics are the better cordless. The batteries die quickly in the Unidens. Panasonics use easily replaceable AAA batteries.

    • Didnt know that thanks

  • You still have a landline?

    • VOIP

      • VOIP, Landline. Same same.

        • Not really…

I have one of my VOIP lines on an iphone app.

          • @jv: Any subscription fee for voip?

            • @ATTS: 35 cents per month for the number.

Good way to receive (or make) calls on your mobile without using your private number.

              • @jv: Oh wow so cheap didnt know voip existed

Could you explain in simple terms how it works?

Is it that, So you pay 35c for the number and calls recieved or made are PAYG

And would the voip provider be the current NBN ISP?

Also does the voip number phone calls go straight to the mobile/phone app?

And i assume there would be an android version for voip line on the app

    • Just to receive calls

  • Try something like this…
