      but Zero isn't a low quality product

      Sure there are dodgey batteries & chargers out there. But they are a very small minority. Worst thing is charging them off a power board, only use a power point. turn it off when it's finished charging, don't leave it overnight.

        Almost all the fire is custom ebike with modded batteries any legit branded scooter/ebike has no issue, if anything need better regulation thats all

        • That is the issue, i don’t know whose bike is custom modded. To be safe i keep my distance away.

    NSW MFS reports they have a fire from devices like this every 2 days
    (virtually none from EVs though)

    You have to wonder how much of this stuff is just disasters waiting to happen.
