Free batch file renamer? Why not!
Some comments from the site itself:
David Brzeski: One gets the impression from the fact that this version doesn't need an unlock code, that it is, in fact the demo version. This is borne out by the fact that you get a second email with an offer to upgrade to the pro version for $15 (reduced from $29).
It would have been more honest to simply offer the pro version for $15 on bitsdujour in the first place.
Chris Carmichael: This SUPPOSEDLY v.1.0.3 However, the app is significantly different from the screenshots shown on the website - in particular THERE IS NO OPTION IN THIS VERSION FOR REPLACING TEXT IN THE NAME OF THE FILE!!!!
This is a rather severe limitation for a renaming tool. In fact, there is not much you can use it for. Adding suffixes, yes, as long as it's a single suffix (not numerically changing for each file). Removing spaces, yes - if that's important for you. Renaming according to complex rules as they claim, no way.
This software is being given away, yes. But you're not getting very much for free!
