Dropbox is the best in terms of file syncing.
However if you're looking for places where you can store very large backups you might be looking at other services such as Crashplan or Mozy. However I haven't looked into how they differ from each other.
I agree that it really depends on usage. I use Amazon directly (most of the cloud storage providers just resell Amazon). I do this becuase I can write my own scripts and ensure things are encrypted locally and I do not have to trust a third party.
Depends on your usage, I suppose.
In my case, Dropbox is perfect. Being a student, all I require of the cloud is the storage of smaller word documents and PDF's so the lesser storage capacity (compared to others) doesn't bother me. I don't know about other services, but the OS integration really make it for me; other people have to fiddle around with their files on USB's, constantly losing and forgetting things whereas Dropbox makes everything effortless. I often use more than one device (desktop, laptop, tablet and phone), so seamless syncing is essential (though I do like some features of Google Drive, but transitioning at the moment would). I actually can't remember the last time I used a USB for anything less than copying movies.
I don't know if it has any killer features now, compared to other services, but when I started using it a couple of years ago, nothing else compared. The web interface is a lot more intuitive now, which is helpful if I'm ever on a computer without the client.
