  • Looks like a lot of the reviews were given gifts to give a positive review

Iyou had me curious on your comment about people receiving gifts for reviews..i just read through a bunch of amazon reviews..i dont see what you are talking about..i can see a couple of people that had iasues and received replacement parts, thats all though.
      .

      • Two of the video reviews received gifts. I presume it's not limited to them

        • Every 3D printing company does that. Watch a review of any printer and most reviewers will have received it for free.

  • Not sure about that..maybe…it seams a well reviewed printer with good specs for a food price. Its my first 3d printer and so far so good…i certainly didnt get paid anything or receive and free goods to post this as a bargain and at all time low price based on personal ownership and experience.

  • Won't get a better printer at this price. The best motion system out of all budget printers. Put a 5015 parts cooling fan for $10 and you're golden.

I've recently put klipper on it and it's flying.

Used a Ender 3 V2 before this for a year and SV06 is so much better.

  • +1

Surely the Neptune 4 pro is a better buy than this. Has been around $330 for the past few weeks.

    Off sale now though unfortunately.

    • Different build sizes

      • Ah true, didn't know that. Thanks for clarifying.

  • I’ve had this for about 6 months as my first printer. The only issue I’ve had is that I’m having problems getting ABS to bond the layers properly, but my Google research seems indicate this is a common problem with non enclosed printers rather than specific to this one. Other than that, it’s been good.

    • Can you just put it in a cardboard box? What does the enclosing do?

      • Keeps the heat in. You don't want to cool ABS too much or at all, otherwise it warps.

        • Oh! Thanks that makes sense

    • If you cannot make an enclosure for your printer, you might be able to still print ABS with a skirt going up the full height of the model. Look in your slicer print settings, in Orca Slicer it's under Others > Bed adhesion. That can help keep heat around the part as it prints.

Wow, didn't know this. I guess it might work for smaller prints, but heat rises, so not sure how effective for larger prints. The enclosure (for me anyway) isn't possible because this is already quite a large machine & overhanging the only available table for it.

        • i've used two large clear plastic bags that "something or other" were packed in to put over the printer. Filament either inside that also, or just poked through the bags.
I think that makes enough of a difference to be worth trying, means you can still keep some idea of what is happening, see you're not making just 'spaghetti'
