    Meh deal.

    • Kogan got our business when it sold half price plans for the first few years. Then it played with the timing, so you can't buy one to renew on time. Now, it often does 40% or less, no more Kogan for us!

Catch Connect $150 for 200GB is cheaper and a better network.

  • +1

Catchconnect is $150.. do better Kogan..

    • +2

Not like for like comparison. Different network.

      • +2

If you want like for like, well Vodafone usually has the monthly sale for $125 with 240gb.

    • kogan = vodafone 🤮
      catch = optus

I'd much rather be with Vodafone than Optus. It's not 1992 when the Vodafone was an inferior network. I would argue it is now superior In most areas.

        • +2

Yup after switching between both I’d rather Voda

        • Hope you have different experience then I, last year (yes 2023) 365 days deal vodafone i had.. regrets every single day of it, Driving from 2176 to 2144 constant drop out every time cell change… Phone constantly switch between 4G and 5G each time need 30-60 seconds to have data connection again, at time need to turn airplane mode on/off to cycle through the data connection. indoor reception is just horrid, data is slow and unstable.

@huu: Kogan nor Catch have 5g. So whatever your specific issues jumping between 4g and 5g and back and the issues surrounding it would not be an issue.

@Thatbargainhunter: Vodafone .. i though i did mention that. The reason i switch over to vodafone last year is that their 5G suppose to be more superior to optus and telstra. Switch back to boost and everything works fine since

            • +1

@Thatbargainhunter: Kogan does have 5G now on their monthly 80GB plan, just to be clear, but yes, the 365 day plan this is referring to, Kogan is 4G only.

      • The issue is for many that Catch Mobile roaming is terrible, so I wouldn't be touching this at 50c a MB, if anyone plans on using it for that.

  • +1

Kogan would need to pay me $160 and I still wouldn't connect with them. The voda network is awful. Was stuck on Voda for a year through Kogan and never again.

Optus is better (Catch) and better still is Belong/Boost/Telstra

Catch is cheaper for a better network.

    • Every persons experience is different based on where they are. Vodafone for my general local area is better than both optus and telstra. Being better than the local telstra network very much surprised me but Optus not so much.
